Whats the ideal length for a jig rod excluding football jgs.

My 3 jig rods are 6’10” 5 & 6 power fast including football jigs.

There isn’t an “ideal” length. 
It’s what you’re more comfortable throwing.

 

I have a 7, 7-1 & 7-3 all with different lines and reel’s with different speeds.

^ This. I'm comfortable with a 7'0" for pretty much everything, so that's what I have.

There is no correct answer.

Everyone likes something different.

I prefer 7'2", but thats just because many rods come in that length. And i feel i can get a decent hookset close in or further out with that length.

6'9 to 7'4

Right now I use a 7’ rod. I’m 6’2” and I keep hearing how I should use a longer rod , so I might try it one of these days 

Whatever feels comfortable to you. I use 7'2" and 7'3". 

I have a 6'10, 7'2, and 7'5 that all get jig duty at some point.

My jig rods range from 6ft6 to 7ft4 they all have there place.

Mine range from 6"10" to 7'4". Get a length that is comfy for You.

The jig rod I’m most comfortable with is 7-5.

I use a 7' 3" the most. It isn't necessarily ideal, just what I like and use the most. I also use a couple 7 footers, a 7' 1", 7' 5", and 7' 6".
