and I'm good with that.

This morning's in the low 50's with a high today that might not make 70.

Very refreshing.

If & when I can find bait & fish shallow, baits include a lot topwater walkers & poppers, and A-Rig and a big spinnerbait. 

Later this week it may 'warm up', but I'll still be throwing the same deal.

I saw it early this year at my local Dicks and grabbed one. Dicks is the only store that I have seen them. Perhaps it's exclusive to them?

It seems to me this time of year , in the lakes I fish , the deeper bass spread out and are not grouped tightly in a spot .So I try to cover water quickly . I already mentioned crankbaits but also a Carolina rig with a 1 ounce sinker allows me to do that . I approach shallow bass the same as other times of the year .

I just wait till the sun starts getting lower, try and search for bait balls, look for boiling on surface. I’ve been have some fun nights walking a Shower Blows 105 in these areas.

My rods are sitting rigged and ready for Wed., one with a shakey head and either big zoom grub or rattlesnake. Three T-rigs with senko or ocho, top water plopper or buzzbait. Difference here is the top water action will last thru the day with peaks early and late. Reason I cut a lot of firewood and endure the cold winters is to have these kinda summers ?

Dude, if the fish were fighting over ice cubes you have your answer.

Depending on fish location, I'll often use bottom contact lures like shakey heads, or big worms, or something to target those fish holding off the bottom like a drop shot.  For shaded targets, I prefer fast moving baits like a spinnerbait with smaller thin blades, or a crank with a tight wobble. I did well with a blade bait in that situation last season.

Oddly, a 6in wacky rigged senko. 

Well up here in Massachusetts my water doesn’t get crazy hot. If I’m fishin shallow water. I’m fishing a whopper plopper, big wakebait or a chatterbait fished like a jig. I’ve caught some large mid summer fish on a chatterbait. 
 

If I’m fishing a deeper pond. I’m fishing a jig, a soft swimbait, a tube and texas rig along the drop offs. But these pertain to my fisbing habits and my favorite bodies of water I routinely fish. 
 

I also do a lot of night fishin from March-November . Big wake baits after dark in the shallow ponds.

Georgia in august? I’ve felt that heat once or twice and nearly fell over dead 

Our Georgia heat is why I'm out there in the dark hunting the big girls.

Where I fish, August is the rainy season.  The lakes flood, and the fish move to the shallows.  I will be throwing buzz baits, and frogs all day for the next three months.

Here in Florida Bass are acting lazy some days they turn complete off... been lucky catching some on flukes

This time of year the small rivers and streams near me are teeming with life, all the way up and down the food chain, and the resident smallmouth seem to be fired up all day long.  So my favorite lures are for enticing these river and stream bass:  Tiny Torpedo and Pop-R, the smaller whopper ploppers, rebel craw crankbait, and all manner of 4" worms and grubs.

I throw a frog 95% of the time in the summer/hot days of summer 

Frog and jig mostly for quality size. I just got into the shaky head and it's been productive. I've been throwing this gold Academy store brand lipless crank with some success. I just changed to hooks out with a Rat L Trap because the ones that came on it look very cheap and light. I hope it doesn't affect action.
