The Harris Chain is in my back yard.  I've never seen so many out of town visitors as we have now.  Every restaurant is packed and the boat ramps are street parking only.  I won't even put my boat in

68-70 degrees there and they’re all dressed like it’s 50. At this point in time I’d probably be in a Speedo if I had 68-70 degree temps! ?

  • Gotta do what you gotta do for that Speedo sponsorship.

I had the pleasure to marshal for G man, awesome experience

I'm waiting for some 8 pounders to show up

I think somebody got an 8 already

The way they were talking it was gonna be a smash fest

Full moon, warming trend ... ... ...

I cant believe some people wasted 2 hours waiting to lock thru

I bet someone gets caught in the lock running back and will be late

i couldn't imagine sacrificing 3-4 hours of fishing in an 8 hour tournament

Yeah Scott Martin said he waited a little over 2 hours to get into the lock, he must have thought he had found something worth waiting that long.  By the looks of what he has caught so far, he may have misjudged that!?

scott martin just lost a giant the second he grabbed his line to land the fish. why do these guys grab their line to try to land fish? i honestly don't get it. makes me CRINGE.

edit: same thing happened last tournament, i can't remember who it was

That's something they deal with in LaCrosse, WI too.  Which will be a stop later this season.

You can sit there for hours waiting to get through.  Its a high risk-high reward decision.  Its even worse when you have a big bag and can't get through to the weigh in on time.  Disqualified!

Yeah Scott has had a rough day, missing fish, losing fish and the long wait.  He is keeping it together better than I ever would of.

I watched all day. He blew it on several, and was very close to going full IKE.

I believe I may have heard the remnants of a few choice words coming out of his mouth on a couple occasions.  You know the type that the tourney director may have to have a few words with him about!

He was angrily apologizing for the F bomb and ordering them to "just edit it out". It's always amusing to see people who have outwardly friendly social personas go totally volcanic. Over time I've leaned to peg them from the getgo. Funny. Afterwards he lent his film crew's boat to a competitor who's boat crapped out and he made it back in time to weigh-in.

Yeah I seen that!  I honestly think he is a good dude, even though he seems a little full of himself, he gets that honestly though.  I think his father is full of himself also!

I hope Austin does - my other 4 guys are above the cut-line so far...Austin is only 1/2lb outside of it.

Come on guys...give me some points here.

Can you believe Ike's surge today?

I am with ya on 4 guys above the cut line all the sudden, don't know if Matty Wong can climb that far to be all of them making the cut!

Tough??? Just wait til they come back here again. 11 bags over 20 pounds on day one T Harris. Usually one or two bags over 20 for the entire tournament here, zero of them last year

heck I think 14 lbs a day won on the famed chickamauga last year

Its tough for the location and conditions , they were expecting much more . Come to my home lake and 30 lbs might win it for four days .

I bet you could win on your home lake with a spinnerbait! I’ve seen the photos

I deleted one of your double posts and they both disappeared. I’m new!

Newbies!  ?

The Harris Chain is in my back yard.  I've never seen so many out of town visitors as we have now.  Every restaurant is packed and the boat ramps are street parking only.  I won't even put my boat in the water until two weeks after this thing is over.

The Banana Cove area is getting hammered.  By tomorrow, that cove behind Long Island will be a dead zone.  I believe this tournament will be won by someone flipping the Kissimmee Grass.  Five bites a day is all you need.  There are giants in that grass if you have the patience it takes to wait them out.

Running all the way to Apopka is crazy.   It takes up so much time and when you get to the spring you will find three locals fishing on top of it.  Haven't heard much from Griffin which seems a little strange.  I would stay in Big Harris and fish for big fish.  Someone will hang a double digit bass before it's over.
