30-40lb power pro braid for 3/8 and 1/2oz spinnerbaits, river smallie fishing

3/8 - 1/2 Spinnerbaits thrown on 20# Power pro braid....... yes the violin is sweet.

this.....when I go to a  heavier bait will go to 20 lb.

16# Yo-Zuri Topknot.  I hardly catch them on spinnerbaits, it's just the same rod I throw my chatterbaits on.

14-17 suffix elite. I only throw fluoro for crank baits and elite is on most of my reels. So it just depends which rod I am putting it on. Mostly 17 lb. 

12-17# fluorocarbon or mono depending on both cover and sometimes which reel is available. Usually 15#

15lb big game, MH mod fast, drag cranked to about 7lbs. Works for me. 

30lb braid for the most part for slow rolling the bottom, 15# Trilene Big Game if I want to keep it just under the surface or fishing shallow.

30lb power pro on and 8' mhf

I select 12 lb Big Game over 15 because its a little more manageable and I cast it a little better . Over the course of a year I think I get  few more bites . I can only remember one breakoff the past two years . It was a big fish in brush .  The line broke so easily that I suspect there was a bad spot in  it . I saw the bass jump  later on , trying to dislodge the bait . It was a good one .

17lb suffix seige.

For me it’s usually 15-20lb Berkley 100% Fluorocarbon depending on where I’m fishing and what for ( I catch a ton of big pike in the spring on a spinnerbait and the 20lb is my go to for them). 

I use 20lb Tatsu ??‍♂️

Agreed.  Maybe the line doesn't really matter that much....except in my head.  BTW, I like 20# braid for lots of things, but I have casted off enough 3/8 oz spinnerbaits and chatterbaits that I probably won't try it for 1/2 oz anything...:)
