What do you store your hard plastic swim/glide baits in?

Featured Replies

It seems 3600 style boxes are not deep enough to hold anything over 5”, they are mostly too fat profiled for the box to close w those trebles.  I would prefer something smaller than a 3700 box to take in my bag on my kayak.

How many of these type of baits do you generally bring on a spring/fall trip? I would think 4 should be plenty, if you lose four $50+ baits that’s a bad day ?

I have 4 of these I use for big swimbaits. They work well in a boat or kayak.

Yes, I had a bad day and lost an s waver, broke off on the cast, line got damaged from rock.

I keep them I. Zip block bags because they are to big for my Plano stowaway boxes, and put packing peanuts over the tip. Saw some soft storage packets but never tried, let me know if you find one that works well!

For hard swimbaits I used 12” x 6” x 3” deep food storage containers with drain grid bottoms, snap lids. The Container Store carried them.

How many does that hold?

1 layer about 6 to 8, 2 layers with the mat as a shelf up 12 hard swimbait, wake baits 6” to 10” . I used 3 containers with I layer.

For soft Hudds use the tall storage unit with snap swivels through the lid so they hang straight down keeping the tails straight.

The 12” Tall 6” square holds 12ea 8” Hudds, 8” Tall 6” square holds 12 ea 6” & 68’s.
