So looking over the hook options for catfish can be overwhelming... Just like in bass fishing. Just a quick look and I see j hooks, kahle, octopus, circle, oshaughnessey and a few others. For those that target channel catfish often...I'm talking eater size fish lets say 1-5lbs...what brand and style hook do you prefer?

Team Catfish double action or Boss Kat super J . Both are strong and sharp

Although I don’t target them often and I don’t eat them I’ve had success using eagle claw khale hooks. They almost always hook them right in the corner of the mouth which is what I’m after as I said I’m not keeping them. Bonus is the eagle claw hooks are relatively cheap and available just about everywhere.

2/0 circle hooks from Gamakatsu. 1/0 if you’re good with smaller fish, 3/0 if you want to trend bigger. 8/0 if you want one fish per fish fry.

? Circle hooks are all I'm using now.

Not a fan of circles, I like an octopus or the like better, 4/0-8/0 depending on the size of the fish and type of bait.

Eagle claw 2/0 bait holder hooks.  I've been using those for years.

VMC 1/0 Sure set, I use them for saltwater fishing as well and always have at least 50 of them and plus backorder of TW always, because they go so fast. :)
