So YOU are the guy that puts 6# test on baitcasters.   BFS?    ?

LOL. I'm on that team too. 6# XT on my bfs rigs. Braid on the rest.

Most of them are spooled with 15# Big Game.  I use 10# Big Game for the lighter baits.

I use 12# on most of mine. I use florocarbon for Texas rigs and jigs. If I had to use mono for that I go up to 14#

You know it!  Most of the people I see on here fishing bass use heavier tackle than I use for king salmon on the Betsie River ?.  One of these actually fish actually fights, the other is just hangry.

I have to say 12 because it means I’m probably fishing a crankbait, which is nice.

Caught many huge bass on 12 lb test line so that's my baseline for everything but flipping and pitching which I use 20 lb for.

12 lb test + weightless Texas rig = the summer time killer.

I prefer 6-10# mono.  12# tops.  If I need more strength than that, I'm just going to step up to braid.

Vast majority of my MH rods have 12# on them.  I usually go lighter on most of my Medium power rods.
