I found the 6 inch to be pretty bulky for the application I use.  The Baby version was very productive over the years.  There are options that are six inches long but have a bit less mass and I lean toward those.  When you get the Baby BH it won’t taken long to compare them.

Baby brush hogs are the way to go! 

I've used the baby brush hog for like 5 yrs but I must admit I usually pick up a rage grub/pit boss/adrenaline bug first.

I just haven't found success with the hog.

Full size brush hog has been productive for me in my neighborhood ponds. I don’t get as many bites but definitely better fish. 
 

I've had better luck with the Baby Brush Hogs than with the regular size Brush Hog.  I get a lot of bluegill bites with the regular size.

Used to do pretty well with baby brush hogs.  I noticed the action would be inconsistent sometimes.  Took me a while to figure out theres a top and bottom and if you rig them upside down appendages want to stay closed.  I actually prefer SKs knock off and the super hog because I like the thickness of the body more then the BBH.  Tried the full size and caught some fish, but never went all in on in on them.  I would probably prefer the midsize to the full size, but never actually seen them in person.

Super hog cut just above the small arms is a good jig trailer.

I've been using them since they were introduced. I do much better with the 4" to the point that I don't carry any 6" in the boat anymore.

For smallies I use a shakyhead, split shot rig, T rig, or C rig. Shakyhead is my favorite for smallmouth with the split shot being the close second.

I’ve caught some big fish using it as a chatterbait trailer in the middle of summer
