Looking to get a new spinning rod for jigs up to 3/8oz ..t-rigged worms and anything pretty much up to 3/8 oz

Unless someone has tried all of the rods in that price range it would be difficult to say.

 

Depends on how the reel you are going to use balances with the rod. Always take the reel, with line spooled up, and put it on a rod to get a true feel for YOU. Not everyone holds a rod the same - only you can truly answer the question.

I've been looking at the maxims hard...seems like what I've been looking for but..from what I've read phenixs blanks are a little brittle compared to other...was also looking at the denali attax 7'2 mh..and the daiwa tatula xt 7' mh

If you want durable, the XTs are just that. I've pulled in some whoppers on my two MF XTs over the past 5 years. I'm guessing the newest version is just as tough.

@Ashboomky Maxim is my second one. I sank my first one in a lake flub. 
 

it is my oldest rod despite having to get my new one.  Most fish caught and the drop shot with that rod.  In the hundreds.  No issues at this point. It seems durability is not a problem w the one I got. 

The St Croix Triumph line is hampered by very limited choices… but if you’re looking for something fairly generic (like a 6’6 or 7’ ML-MH) then you can’t beat them for the price. They’re very good rods for $100. 
 

For what you’re talking about, a 7’ MH from the Triumph line would be great. 

I'd throw down an extra $20 to get a 'regular' Tatula or St. Croix Mojo Bass, but it's easy for me to spend someone else's moolah.

I have a Kistler Graphite spinning rod. I liked it so much that I bought the other three rods in that line. There’s the Argon in that range too.

There arent that many FW spinning rods that are going to fish a 3/8 jig like a BC rod.  The action and power you're looking for is more readily available with Inshore rods.  I would be looking for a rod with 5/16-1oz range or 3/8-3/4 at the lightest, as an underpowered rod is going to cost you fish and when bites are few and far between it can really be aggravating.  

Would an inshore rod be too limber ? I've looked at the calico jacks or redbones but not sure about if it would work for lm?

If I have $130 to spend, that means I'm sticking to it and getting a Dobyns Fury, or I'm spending a little more at $150 and getting a Daiwa Tatula because it's more than worth skipping one impulse purchase or lunch to make up for it, or I'm saving some money and getting the best truly $100 rod in the Shimano SLX.

Same blank rather. Tatula is the best bang for your buck and fishes like a $250-300 rod
