Didnt have a Rookie of the year but did have a comeback player of the year. This year I resurrected the ole safety-pin spinner and Watermelon 4” fat Albert grub. This was my go to growing up in my home stream. Caught a few smallies on it this summer. Fun to go back to the basics sometimes.

toss up between duo realis wriggle stick ( 4" ) and rabid baits fox tail ned .

Kind of by default because I didn't fish a lot of new baits this year but it's without a doubt the Yamatanuki unfortunately. The price and fragility of them keeps me from using them for anything other than tournaments, but the effectiveness of them is undeniable. Just need Yamamoto to sponsor me and then it wouldn't hurt to fish those one fish fish wonders.

1 bait, all year, and is still producing. I throw everything and end up fishing this 1 lure 90% of the day.

From lakes scattered in North Fla to rivers winding in South GA, custom made Devilshorse has ruled this entire year again.
