Whats your favorite line??

Featured Replies

Just trying to get a good discussion going.  I was wondering what your alls favorite fishing line is to use.

I currently use power pro and have been relatively happy with it.  I am thinking of trying fluorocarbon in the future.

thanks for your opinions.

cajun red          and trilene xt

Other than short tryouts, I've fished with nothing else besides SilverThread ever since it was introduced by Bagley's.  I don't see any reason to change.

Trilene XL for mono, and Spiderwire stealth for braid. I have tried many other lines but returned to these two for keeps. I have a long list of lines I hate #1 beeing Berkley Vanish, I also tried and did not care for Powerpro braid, or yo-zuri hybrid ultrasoft.

Welcome Aboard!

Spinning tackle: Yo-Zuri Hybrid Ultra Soft #6

Baitcasting:  Ultra Soft #12

I'm kinda boring, hun?

Large mouth , bait  casters---Stren Dura Tuff is what I use now, great in the trash for flippin,#20

Small mouth , spinning reels---Super Silver Thread except for winter ( 38-40 degrees), and don't laugh, BPS Excel because of the stretch on those ice in the eyes days. #6 and #8.

I have never had a problem with either of these formulas.

Ohh, Big Game is great stuff too, I use a lot of it in #14 for spinnerbaits and wormin.

I use Gamma Copolymer on almost all of my rigs.  Everything from 4# up to 17#.  I love this stuff.

For braid:  50# Power Pro

Flour/Co:  15# Yo Zuri Hybrid

Mono:  12# Suffix Elite

Spinning tackle: Yo-Zuri Hybrid Ultra Soft #6

Bait Casting:   SunlineDefier #13

I'VE USED TRILENE XL FOR TWENTY YEARS WITH NO PROBLEMS. A FEW YEARS AGO I TRIED CAJUN RED AND WASN'T HAPPY WITH IT.

Power Pro

Sufix all around.  I too have tried other lines but Sufix works the best for me.  Although I have yet to try the "famed" Yozuri Hybrid.  Sooner or later I'll give the hybrid a try.
