PSA: Protect Yourself From the Sun

Featured Replies

Today, my dad died.

Lifelong fisherman.

Always on the water.

Skin cancer that started the size of your pinkie fingernail got him.

Please friends, don't scrimp on top shelf sun gear, hats, sunscreen, etc

The sun doesn't care and doesn't play around.

Stay safe, everyone.

Sad news & sorry for your loss.

Sorry to hear of this - and I have to add, don't forget the sunglasses unless you want to end up like me.

Lost the right eye to cancer caused by...you guessed it...not wearing protection for my eyes from UV radiation.

Sorry for your loss.

Sorry for your loss and thank you for using your unfortunate situation with your father to raise awareness. I always cover myself from head to toe but I often see beet red folks when I get to the ramp at the end of the day.

Sorry for you and your families loss.  That's a good reminder - thank you.

I'm so sorry to hear about your Father.

My thoughts to you and your family.

Prayers for you and your family.

Most people are aware of skin cancer being Basal Cell or Squamous Cell carcinoma the dermatologist treats by freezing or surgical removed. Carcinoma are rarely fatal but another skin cancer Melanoma is very dangerous and can kill.

Don’t take skin cancers lightly.

So sorry.  I have progressed through the increasing layers of sun protection.  Older and wiser.
