Some of it I don’t do anymore due to various reasons besides marriage. I used to play church league softball for many years. I used to camp a lot too, but that always included fishing or hunting with it. I have been an avid Civil war buff , but not as much recently. I enjoy reading historical novels occasionally , Louis Lamour especially. I used to have a vegetable garden every year, but just can’t keep it up at present working 2 jobs. I love hunting but haven’t been able to go in over 5 years now. I have hung onto picking banjo.( and fishing, of course) Very good pickin'. By chance did you play in "Deliverance"? Quote
Tackleholic Posted January 13 Posted January 13 My life is boring by most standards, but it is what I have chosen. I became single again 35 years ago and definitely will remain so. Living alone in the Ozarks I fish Bull Shoals and the White River, work with my Border Collie, go to the gym, and tinker endlessly with my fishing tackle. Can't complain. BTW, I escaped from Illinois, a good place to be from. 4 Quote
Super User Bankbeater Posted January 13 Super User Posted January 13 The wife and I took up photography a few years ago. Her thing is flowers, while I like nature pics. We also find recipes online and try them out. By myself I like to tear apart the lawn mower motor and weed eater motor. Yard work is another hobby of mine, but sometimes it feels more like a chore. 1 Quote

Super User gim Posted January 15 Super User Posted January 15 Now that hunting season is over here, and the lakes are locked up solid in 15 inches of ice, its sock sorting time. I've been sorting them based on color, size, and material. Quite the winter hobby I have going here. Its been bitter cold here with a chance of snow, but my house is still standing in one piece. You guy should try it. Really stimulating. 1 Quote
