I understand Glenn, my FIL passed away on Dec.1st. I feel like I'm swimming upstream while pushing my wife and MIL.

Sorry to hear @Glenn, I won’t elaborate here but can relate to what you’re going through. I’ve been having my own struggles with both my parents and MIL this past year. It has been challenging to say the least.
 

My fingers crossed for you as you make your way through this. Again, I can honestly say I really do know what you’re going through. 

Sometimes I forget that celebrities are real people with real problems. I will pray for you and your family. 

Thanks guys, I appreciate the warm thoughts and kind words.  I also appreciate the fact that others are going through similar family challenges.  Nobody is immune to it, but knowing you're not alone helps.

I'll start with the good news.  My father is recovering nicely.  He still has a few weeks in acute care before he moves back to assisted living, but he's improving every day.  It seems the surgery did the trick this time.

 

On a very sad note, my brother-in-law unexpectedly passed away yesterday.  One moment he was walking, then felt dizzy and collapsed.  They couldn't revive him.  My sister is a wreck, and that breaks my heart.  We're all in shock.
