Absolutely in love with jigs!!!!

Featured Replies

So I hit some time on the pond chain by the house this early afternoon. Yesterday I was near bass pro. So I stopped in. And looked at jigs. I grabbed a couple strike king bitsy bugs in 1/4 ounce. Figured I’m gonna break them off I’m gonna lose them. All that. So I went cheap and got a bag of zoom super chunk jr. I got 2 this morning! 1 was a good fish. I gotta pay closer attention they hit it on the fall and didn’t realize they had it till I went to hop the bait. So I need to watch the line and plan for the hook set. I was shocked how well the jig laid on the Moss on the bottom but rarely pulled any up. I’m hooked on jig fishing!!!! I don’t like the hook keeper at all on the bitsy bug need to figure out what good jig company is similar to those.

Dirty Jigs is one of my favorite jig companies and I have a soft spot for the Missile baits Ike miniflip as well.

Jigs are great. They catch fish year in and year out and there is a jig for every situation.

If you are looking for a new jig company you should check out Siebert Outdoors. The best jigs I’ve ever fished and now are the only ones I’ll fish. Reasonably priced and they are a BassResource sponsor as well.

Hats why I’ve always wanted to get good at them. They catch fish all year anywhere. And I love it.

thats exactly who I’m gonna check out. Literally everything you said makes me love doing business with folks like that

Way to go! @Joedodge

For sure!! I actually threw a Zman mini max around for a lil bit with a fluke trailer. Man that littlw bait zips around and yo-yos  amazing. Just watching it in the water was fun. Would have been awesome to catch one on it lol

Jigs & Texas Rigs were my best baits last year.

That’s my goal. Weightless plastics or Texas rigs have always been a confidence. I can catch them on other stuff. But I like plastics so I’m really happy to have some success on jigs

A jig isn’t any better than the hook used to make it and Siebert uses premium sharp hooks, plus hand tied skirts.

Absolutely. And I’m here to learn all I can!!! I’ve been reading through the 27 page jig thread when I can

Welcome aboard the jig wagon.

If I were limited to two baits, a jig and a plastic worm would be my choices. You could, and I have, filled a tackle box with the variations for both.

Been using jigs forever. Miss the pork days with em . Bass candy for sure

I was reading about that. The actual pork days is pretty neat

That’s actually one I’m checking out on tackle warehouse. Those and the Missle baits mini jigs were recommended

The nice thing about fishing with a jig is that when you change the trailer, you get an entirely different looking bait.

A good jig company? Right here on Bass Resources is a site Sponsor  . Pick your size. Build your own colors. Awesome stuff!

Plenty of great jigs out there with that hybrid style head design.  They cost more, but you get a much better product.

Dirty Jigs Scott Canterbury Compact Flippin Jig

Picasso Spider Jig

Looks like Nomad has a solid looking little flipping jig called the wee bit flip.

My favorite currently by far is the @Siebert Outdoors grass jig and don't sleep on the 3/4, 1 and 1.5 oz heads!

Yeah, looks like some quality tackle. I like the design of the shot caller.

I like Mud Shad, Crawdad, Kent Craw, Trust me Craw

Probably just my eyes, but I wish, there was a bigger hi def images of each individual skirt color.  The rollover zoom gives you the basic idea, but it's hard for me to see in high detail.

I ordered some snipers last night in 3/16. Went with green pumpkin, a brown craw color, and black.
