I enjoy the visits.  not what he has to do to me on occasion, but the photo sharing, the stories.  awesome.  he lets me go first with pics and stories.  then he goes when he has the work to do,since I cant talk.  my wife says we sound like besties...his receptionist laughs at us. 

 

I have Mexico pics and stories this time...and I heard a rumor he got his new PB.

My wife is my dentist. Pictures of dd bass does not impress her. No free fishing lure per visit for me.

My dentist doesn't really do anything when I go in for appointments.  Unless there is some major work that needs to be done, which hasn't happened in many years.

 

My hygenist does the heavy lifting each visit.  My regular one for 15 years retired and I've been shuffling through new ones each time to find one I like.

My dentist is an avid fly fisher.  Definitely not the same thing, but we can still talk fishing.

we talked and agreed to fish together.  I am buying him a JDM MET DC as a retirement gift.   I got him to tell me he was a Shimano dude..all stealth like.

30+ years ago, my then 7 or 8 year old daughter and I were paddling our canoe down our residential shoreline.  As we came upon a neighbor catching panfish from his dock I stopped to chat a few minutes.  Paddling on a few minutes later my daughter turned to me and asked if that was her dentist.  "Yes", I replied.  A few more paddle strokes she turned again and sternly replied "I hope he washes his hands when he's done fishing!"

And now we know why all doctor offices are at least an hour behind. 😂

My mom worked for a dentist for about 20 years. He's like family to us. He is an avid fisherman and hunter who takes several trips a year for both. He knew I fished mostly for bass and would ask if I'd caught any lunkers lately. He retired a few years back. A chain bought him out. He tried to pass his customers along to them. But they overcharge and hold your credit without notice, squeeze insurance for more than necessary, etc. When we left we had to apply to their home office to get our credit mailed to us. Not the point. I really miss talking to him and his whole staff. I do occasionally see him around town and chat when we do. 

 

We got a new dentist since we felt we were being taken advantage of by the chain. She's quite young. I saw her the other day with no mask on and thought she looked about 16. LOL. I doubt she's into fishing of any kind.

Last thing I want is my dentist searching my mouth for a new bass boat.

Weirdly same.  My dentist is not into fishing but his assistant loves to talk bass fishing with me - her daughter and her daughter's boyfriend take her out and she fishes and supervises etc.  She's very intrigued by the whole thing!

I fish in a pond that is next to my dentist? Does that count?! Man I want a cool dentist lol

My dentist doesn’t speak English . Maybe he just pretends not to know English so I’ll quit telling him about my fishing trips.
