Kast King Tri-Poly line

Featured Replies

Anyone used this before?

I bought a spool because it was on sale and so far I'm liking it better than any fluorocarbon that i normally use.

Its the best of both worlds. Almost invisible underwater, SINKS, has less stretch than Mono but only a tiny bit more than Flouro. Best of all its a lot cheaper than Flouro which is nice for people like me who tend to change out lines often. Think i paid $10 for 300yards on Amazon. (for some reason its cheaper on amazon than from KastKings website)

I will have to look into this. I need some 17 pound line for a couple of my reels and was going to get some flouro. For a lot of my setups I use sunline super natural mono due to the thin diameter. For some reason I have never felt like spending the extra on fluorocarbon lines. The cheap stuff isn’t very good normally and the better stuff is kind of expensive. What pound test/techniques have you been using it for?

I bought 15lb. I just got it last weekend but I've been using it for Weightless TX Rigged Senko's, Chatterbaits, and Spinnerbaits. I haven't tried it for topwater yet.

Despite what the box reads, I'm going to believe it is a monofilament.

It literally says Mono on the box. Its a Hybrid line. Too many people are stuck on the "flouro or die" bandwagon.

Well keep me updated. I will probably try a spool myself. Is the diameter of the line really as small as it says on the box?

Not sure which lakes you fish at but it worked well on N.TX lakes.

I fish in Spotsylvania, VA reservoirs and ponds. I have some wood where I can test the abrasion resistance 👍

It's thin. I recently contacted Kast King cause I couldn't find the 17lb. clear in stock, they said it wasn't available. Don't know if they meant the line or 17lb. test. Brian.
