I saw those on his fb last night. Sharp looking reels.

Finally got an ito, pretty decent condition. Just threw some zpi knobs on it until i figure where im going with this reel. Its the lonely daiwa in this collection of shimanos, lol.

How's the ZPI knots feel? They look nice but not seems comfortable to me. Also wondering why these kind of knobs are related to finesse just because they are smaller and lighter?

Awesome collections!! and what makes them even better is they all seem to be lefty(just like mine) so I can visualize myself fishing them.

Switching hands after/while casting is wasted energy! Why switch if you don't have to!?

Pretty much, little lighter and smaller. Being aluminum with bearings installed makes it feel real smooth.

The fishing rods I own are strewn throughout my house, but the shipping tubes are all stashed in my garage.

You'd be hard pressed to name one rod brand that I don't own ('13 ***' being the latest addition).

On the upside, at least you know the tackle opinions I voice are not flavored by brand loyality

Taking it out this weekend. First impressions, the paint job and clear coat is very much subpar, but I knew that going in. Feels stiff and geary, hopefully it will loosen up and smooth out with use. Spool is super shallow, only 8.2 grams, and the spare "deeper" spool is only 8.4 grams. Going to see if it can throw lighter and farther than the Aldebaran BFS.

I'd give those spool bearings a good cleaning and see what she has. I wonder if some of what you are feeling is related to the braking system. I love those knobs, any chance you could post the P/N from the schematic for those when you have a chance.

I'm pretty sure the knobs are ZPIs. They are actually a hollow hard plastic, not rubber. I'll check the schematic tonite and post the part number.
