Went to wyco with sizzle-man today for about 2 hours.  Miserable weather, but quite a few boats out for opening day.  He had the audacity to out-fish me from the back of the boat.  Tried for green or brown fish on a jerkbait, but nothing happening.  Sizzle caught a couple trout in the marina cove that I'll take the credit for because I suggested we fish there. :eyebrows: Overall a lot of fun.  Hope to see others out there this spring when it warms up.

gotta thank Cole for letting me fish the lake from the back today. Chris is allergic to rain I guess.Cole is new to the lake so all the pointers we can give him sure would help. im gonna try again tomorrow all the trout are at the launch between all the docks for now.

Trout are a blast on light tackle. I don't eat them but when you can catch a 2-4 pound fish on light tackle that pulls hard and makes some of the most acrobatic jumps you'll see in freshwater, I'm in. That's what I'll be chasing Wednesday :)

I might come out Wednesday let me know if you have a seat open Chris don't like trout or cold weather so if he is not in I am love the action on light gear.

well Chris is a trout believer I converted him when he pulled in a 5 pounder and the other 20-30 trout we caught really helped also we tore it up a real epic day for us. started off real slow but as we motored around to re group we came up with a game plan and pow we found them hung up in small stretch and that was it. Chris started the day not to sure but after we filled my limit I talked him into going to the marina and getting his trout permit it didn't take much persuasion since I offered to pay for it and he kept pulling in the big ones. 2" chartreuesse swim baits chartreuse in line spinners and believe it or not most were caught on crank baits we will be back again tomorrow come by we show you which ones ;)

another awesome trout day at wyco it was full of people and would have been a hard day to bass fish with every piece of shoreline taken but we went back to our honey hole and tore it up again we all 3 limited out plus a bunch more we threw back or just fought there way off. my last one jumped did a gainer and snapped my lure I got a good look at it and im thinking another 5 pounder+ we got there early and I guess a few others knew about that honey hole we were parked on it and they just kept coming to take our place but all but 1 was good and moved on 1 boat decided to be rude and park 10 feet from us. the secret for us was lipless crankbait with purple and green.(the secrets out)

Skunked at the 'Dotte again today.  Tried jerkbaits, jigs, shakeyhead, dreamshot, and wiggle wart.  Will probably be out there again tomorrow if it's not raining too hard.  Only fish I marked were in 30+ feet, which is probably where I'll focus tomorrow.  They weren't interested in the drop shot, so maybe a spoon tomorrow...water temp 41-44 degrees.

they have it wednesday we jsut call them wednesday nighters but they start in the next couple weeks if you can stop and ask the guy in the marina at the boat shop its right across the ramp in the brick building. clayton and i fish them quite a bit and there is two season a spring summer and a fall. they can be tuff but fun and can make a hundred to two hundred bucks depending on boat count. but usually starts at 6 and is done at 9 be there at 530 and i thinks its 25 a boat teams welcome and thats how most fish in teams.

Took a half day from work in order to beat the wind and rain.  Caught 5, so shook the skunk off today.  All 5 were LM and came on shakey head or jerkbait.  Nothing bigger than 14".  Water temps up to 50 degrees.  Anybody know what the heck is out in the middle of the largest cove out there?  Maybe a building or old bridge?  Sharp break from 20' to 5' and returns on DI like I haven't seen before.  Will try to grab a screenshot next time.

I assume you are talking about Wilson's Cove (across lake from Marina).   It is an old rock crusher left from when the lake was a rock quarry.  Looks kinda crazy on the graph due to it being a machine.

I haven't fished WYCO in several years, matter of fact it was when they put the wipers in, fished the tounry's on wed and won a couple, retired now and plan to get back out their, need to freshen up the boat and get the motor tuned up. Does anyone know if Scott stills runs the tourny.
