Nice fish and a great day Rippin!  Congrats!

Changed things up today and went out on the bay in Solomons Island with my brother and cousin on my Uncles boat.  Day couldn't have started any worse, 10 mins out of the marina and he losses a transmission in one of the motors.  We run back the the Marina, check things out and pretty much confirm its the trans.  After a little debate my Uncle says, well, we can run on 1 engine today, so off we go.  It's been really slow down in the the lower bay for rockfish and with only 1 motor we didn't get to run up north as far as he would like.  None the less we put 2 on the boat with the biggest coming in at 40"  According to CB chatter we had a good day compared to others.  We were hardly marking any baitfish.  But luck for me, my Uncle is a top notch fisherman.  He routinely out fishes the charter boats in his Marina.  Outside his soon to be costly repair, it was a good day on the water with family.

Thank you sir. Went back to the same place last night and managed 17 and 1 big crappie. 3/4 of them were on the cavitron this time.

I drove over the Monocacy last night and it looked like chocolate and high.  Seneca Creek was like that this morning.  Maybe the river above the mouths of those tribs might be OK but I guess it depends on the Doah.  Anyone see that?

This is what happens when when you fall asleep on the couch after work and your buddy proceeds with out you.

Just a heads up, I have gotten ask a few times before so putting it out there. My club is having a tourney at Black Hills Saturday (June 7th), will be 18 boats so will be pretty busy. We are doing "blast off" at 6am, fishing until 2:30.

Nate, some nice 'skis from your buddy there.  I went musky fishing yesterday without seeing a musky, but I managed to get one fish to bite, a nice consolation prize, a 19.5" spawned out bronzeback:

 

It's always a bonus when you find one that big in the river. Nice fish and good looking double cowgirl.

Went out Saturday with Nate and launched from the shittiest ramp ever on the Lower Potomac. We hit at least a dozen logs floating down the river and I broke off my rear transducer . Fishing was tough but we managed a few including some nice blue cats that like bass lures for some reason? I have a pic or two I just need to figure out how to transfer from this new phone. Ones is of the boat that cut us off hard from PA that must do a lot of combat fishing.

Munkin, what ramp did you launch out of? Yeah the cats seems to be around a lot right now, they love all bass baits, cranks, jigs, spinnerbaits you name it they will hit it.

my son and i went out sunday at big slackwater.only fish caught was by my son on a tube.a 4lbs cat.

Ah okay....Belle Haven can be a tight mess to deal with. Most down there are pretty good. That one always seems to have a log or two in the way.

Like 8 years ago but that was the best 5 fish stringer I have ever caught in my life. I was just fishing from the shore so I didn't bring a scale but I did measure them. The 5 biggest fish measured from 21.5" to 23.5" and I caught 4 others that day over 20".

 

Caught all the fish on a Zoom horny toad except for one that was on a baby 1-.
