  • Wow, a 15+ yr old thread resurrected 😵‍💫   I’m perfectly content with either white, bubblegum (pink), methiolate or sherbert (orange). If I hit a store with just enough cash to buy one bag o

Perhaps there are some new colors?  LOL   I fish Trick Worms almost every trip.  My color choices are expertly researched and highly complicated so please try your best to follow along.

June Bug.

Methiolate when using as a jerk bait or during spawn.

I have watermelon/red flake, Junebug, and bubble gum in my tackle bag......my experience is that color really doesn't matter. If they are hitting the Trick Worm, they will hit any of the 3 colors. My fishing partner and I have a couple spots that we can almost always get bit with the Trick Worm on a split shot rig. Multiple times we have been using very different colors at the same time and both of us pulling in fish.

I've done well with Junebug and watermelon green. All the water I fish is pretty clear.

I fish a pretty murky river and my favorite zoom trick worm is the Watermelon/Kiwi color. I kill 'em on that!! ;)

Bubblegum or Green Pumpkin

Watermelon Red Flake was the color I happened to pick up, it has worked in both water conditions.

I tend to use more natural colors such as Green Pumpkinin clear water.  I use Junebug as my number one for darker waters and Candy bug is number two.

I like Green Pumpkin w/blue flake or the blue swirl on the bottom.

#1 June Bug and I catch alot of fish in 4 - 5' visibility.

# 2 Red Bug and I catch a pile in less than 1' visibility.

Best producing over the years has been bubblegum. I've had great luck with black finesse worms recently, so picked up a bag of black tricks the other day along with some green pumpkin. I'll get to them sooner or later.

I carry the trick worm all the time it's my go-to worm.    1. Black

                2. White

                3. Junebug

                4. Green pumpkin

                5. Red bug when the water is hot.

It depends on where you fish and water clarity. For me, mostly its watermelon candy with a little chartreuse from a zoom marker on the tail.

Junebug for me - but like many, I switched from the Trick Worm to the NetBait T-Mac worm. Same worm only it floats better and more consistently.

Colors like Watermelon Seed, Watermelon Red and Baby Bass generally serve me well.  Candy Bug or June Bug and Bubble Gum have also been productive.

I've been using the X-Zone Deception Worms lately. Houdini and Watermelon Red Flake have been the most productive, but I know my kid has kept track of which colors worked for him and he has caught bass on every one of the original colors before they added more.

Green Pumpkin, Watermelon Candy, and Black Grape.  These three will pretty much cover any water clarity that I run across.

I don't believe they have ever made a Trick Worm color that didn't catch bass.  If Trick Worms were all you ever fished with, you would still catch bass. I have used just about every color made.  I use dark worms in stained water and green worms in clear.  I have caught bass on bubblegum, Merthiolate and pure white too.  Currently, my favorites are Junebug/Red and Watermelon red flake.  There are literally zero ways to fish this worm without catching fish.
