  1. X2 Yep this is the time when Walmart makes room for their new fishing products. Look for the sales.

Tin, The beginning of thefirst one was filmed on my lake. It was great to watch.
  3. Now that's funny right there. I don't care who you are.
  4. There are brands that I totally believe in and I will always recommend for one reason or another. Like Buckeye Lures, JJ's Magic, Dobyns Rods and Zoom Plastics. But I think if I were to be completely loyal to any brand it would prevent me from trying new brands and products that may or may not be more productive for me.
  5. Expo Feb 22 - 12noon till 9pm Feb 23 - 10am till 6pm Feb 24 - 10am till 4pm Weigh-in Around 3:30pm Thurs thru Sunday
  6. Admission is free.
  7. At midnight EST every night. It is usually down for 15 to 30 minutes. It's what needs to be done to keep the site from shutting itself down the next day.
  8. This must be another installment of Grumpy old men. lol Glenn does it at the same time every night. You should know when it's going to happen by now.
  9. For snaps I use a duolock. I mainly use it on crankbaits when I am tuning my pattern and switching out baits every few casts. But other than that I tie knots. As for swivels. I use them when fishing with a leader. I never use snap swivels.
  10. I have about 80 of them and I use every one of them. They are on a rod every spring and fall. I fish alot of grass and they were ment to be fished in the grass. But they work everywhere else to.
  11. Spinnerbaits. I hate them. I can't catch a cold with one.
  12. I've always fished, but I started deer hunting when I was 12. I got addicted to the challenge of it. (And the meat ain't bad either) I shot my first three deer with a 50lb bow while still hunting (Stalking). This was a huge rush and always a tough challenge. I honed my craft of still hunting for nearly 20 years. Then a few years ago it got too easy. I had shot over 100 good deer while still hunting. It wasn't a challenge anymore. I didn't need to spend the countless hours in the woods scouting all year long. I could accomplish the same things with just a few days of hunting. So I all but quit. I now fill my freezer and I'm done. So I found myself with a need for another challenge. I was already bass fishing during the spring and summer but I wasn't as good as I was at hunting so I started researching and fishing hard. This is about the time I found BassResource and that's when I realized that I found the ultimate challenge. Bass Fishing is something I love and it can challenge me for the rest of my life. So, to answer your question. I go fishing to become a better fisherman.
  13. I sit down and eat a sandwitch, throw out every bit of local info I have heard and then put all the peices together and come up with my own gameplan. That's about as long of a slump that I usually have.
  14. I don't think Skeeter knocked out Triton. I think Triton left and Skeeter moved in. I know Triton wasn't very happy about the guys wanting to fish out of their boats on the last day.
  15. It amazes me every day how well we work together. We are all very different. From our religious and political views, to the way we fish. I bet if we lived in the same house we wouldn't get along at all. But on BassResource we all share common goals. We want to keep this site the best and keep it growing. We are nothing without our members and we couldn't ask a better group of members than we have here.
  16. I'm still going through the list but it's great to see Super Matt on the list.
  17. If it's true, That is cool. I just hope they let the guys fish out of their own boats all four days.
  18. I have yet to find one I have been disappointed in. I think I have 10 of them now. Gary has done a great job designing his rods and an even better job making sure the quality stays up to his standards.
  19. My dad's side of the family came to America from Denmark back in the mid 1800's. They were from a long line of musicians and vocalists. My mom's side of the family came the Americas from England back in 1620 and settle in a place called Plymouth, Massachusetts. Yep, that's right. They came over on the Mayflower. They later were one of the original settlers of Newburyport, Mass. Now known as Newbury. A famous person on my mom's side was Rebecca Nurse. The third person hung in the Salem Witch Trials. She was my 10th Great Grandmother.
  20. Welcome
  21. Welcome to the family.
  22. This should be interesting.
  23. I guess that's wishfull thinking on Alpsters part. Too bad. I'm coming anyway.
  24. I've got Jeff Reed booked for Monday. He was recomended to me by a good friend of mine who fishes the Stren Series and he did real well at the G-ville toruny last year. Some of the guides on the list were recomended by Jeff Reed.
  25. That young kid was Nick Barr. He still comes around every once in a while. He is a sponsored tournament angler now. He even has a boat sponsor. http://www.nickbarrfishing.com/
