  1. No. He has to have proof that you are 16 as much, or more than you have to prove you are 15.
  2. This might be a stretch but out of the 100 people who read your post maybe nobody owned one. That could be why BPS had them on sale. Nobody bought one so they need to move product.
  3. Very true. I started tying flies with my dad when I was 6 year old. I've been doing it ever since. Tying with a magnifying glass is no fun.
  4. Are there fish in those pics? I'm blinded by that obnoxious shade of red Stop crying. lol
  5. I accually started searching before your last post. I wondered the same thing.
  6. Here's the same kid just older. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z-ZWxmaVuWk&feature=related Street drumming http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FVOzjVwjOUM And older Jamming with a band http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=glrbndJPEGo 2000 Grammy awards And another band
  7. Yes, Only use the tips. Also use the natural bend in the feathers to your advantage and make sure they turn out from the trebble. I wouldn't make them any longer than 1 1/4 inches for back trebbles. You are trying to reproduce a fishes tail and how many fish have you seen with tails that are almost as long as their body.
  8. The first picture is of Randall and his 15lb 12oz monster. The others are of my best friend Adam (Doghouse). Only one of them were on the bed. It's the one that has the lure hanging outside its mouth. The last two were prespawn, caught deep on a creek channel.
  9. Del-Mart has them. http://www.del-mart.com/shop/product.php?productid=16449&cat=322&page=1
  10. Spawning can start in water as cold as 55 degrees but is ideal in the 60's. Topwater starts for me at around 70 degrees.
  11. Here's a little proof for ya. http://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_forums/YaBB.pl?num=1174963631/0#0 http://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_forums/YaBB.pl?num=1174963631/0#0
  12. I use a Dobyns 766FLIP. It's a 7'6" Heavy Ex-Fast Rod. This was the rod that turned me into a believer of Dobyns rods. It's light, strong and balanced nicely. For a flipping reel I haven't found one much better than a Revo. Mainly because of the drag. I can put heavy line on that think and crank the drag all the way down and it won't slip. With a drag setting at 16 to 18 lbs it's awesome.
  13. Welcome to the forums. Charlie Elliot is your best bet for sure. It's worth the money and if you know a few shortcuts it isn't a far drive from McDonough. I started fishing CE when it opened and I fish it every chance I get. There are some toads there. Another good idea is to contact Randall at Fish Atlanta Guide Service and fish Lake Varner at least once while your here. He is a big bass expert and his rates are very inexpensive. I think he's like 175 bucks for a full day. He is worth every penny. If you don't fish Varner you will kick yourself when you get home.
  14. I am two hours from four different BPS. I don't go unless I'm in the area for something else.
  15. I go to walmart's fabric department and buy 6 yards of camo military poncho material and some velcro. Then when I get home I cut them into strips and sew them up with my wife's sewing machine. I get about 20 of them for around 10 bucks and two hours of my time.
  16. I always hire a guide for the first time out on a lake. That is the best way to get to know a lake and will put you way ahead of the game. One of the best guides on Pickwick is Jeff Read. I talked to him last week and he has been catching huge Smallmouth lately. You can contact him at 423-635-2459.
  17. Do a google search for the Alabama Rig. This is exactly what you are looking to do and it was invented by one of our own members. Here's three fish he caught on the same cast on the Alabama Rig.
  18. Here are some tricks I use when researching with Google Earth. Look at the trees to tell what time of the year it is. This will help you determine where the aquatic weeds are located. For instance, I am getting ready for Guntersville. The part of the lake I want to fish was photo'ed in the summer time so I'm looking at allot of weed growth. I look for the hydrilla flats with the most boat trails through it and mark it on my map. This will give me the most popular local spots. The hydrilla may not be visible in March like it is in the summer but I will know where it is. Some of the lake was photo'ed in the fall. I can tell this from the trees. So I am not looking for green vegetation, I am looking for brown stuff in the shallow areas. Look at the shadows of the trees and reference it to the compass and you will be able to tell what time of day the picture was taken. Look at the boat ramps to see how many trucks with trailers are parked there. If there are allot you can bet it was on a weekend and then you can go looking for boats that are fishing on the lake to determine a good place to look. Look for the things the map doesn't show. Fore example, Boat docks on or near prime structure Weed beds Fishing boats fishing near prime structure Rock/RipRap Standing timber
  19. It's amazing what has happened in the last 365 days. The site has grown by 4200 members. I am always astounded at the caliber of members we have here. Every one of you guys and gals are great. BassResource wouldn't be the same without each and every one of you. Just look back on what has happened with ya'll this year. Members giving back to their community Others supporting the caring endeavors of others Young members winning their first tournament Life long friendships formed Growth of character for many of us Many of you catching your first bass Many of you catching a new Personal Best And the list goes on. To see how you make each new member feel like an instant part of the family makes me proud to be a small part of it. It is a blessing every day to be a part of the Mod Squad. These guys are great. We may not always agree on things but in the end we make a decisions and that's it. We stand behind it and continue to be friends. This comes from our love for this site and the good things it brings to each of you. BassResource is slowly becoming a big part of bass fishing and the next year can only be better. I can't wait to meet many of you at our Guntersville Road Trip. Be safe and keep your lines wet. Thank you for a great year. Fluke
  20. I fish Tribble Mill quite often each year. The upper end of the lake is full of hydrilla. But don't get discouraged about it. Hydrilla is a bass magnet. Buzzbaits over the top in the summer time has hooked allot of big bass. Hydrilla is thick on the top but underneath it is like an open forest of fish highways and great places for baitfish and bass to spend their life. I fish it with a heavy jig that will punch through the top. I also like using a fluke or small crankbait along the edges.
  21. The last words of many a Parkour and Free Runner and dummy "Hey, Ya'll watch this." I will tell you from my experiance here in the trauma center where I work. Hard serfaces are very unforgiving. Spines break, necks aren't indistructable and wheelchairs are still being made every day. Don't be stupid.
  22. I absolutly love my Okuma spinning reels. At the price and quality, I don't see the need to get anything different. I have used a couple of them for three years now and I still haven't had a problem with them.
  23. I got mine to. I sat down on the couch and opened it up and wouldn't you know it that monkey jumped out and started pounding on me. I quickly grabbed him and shoved him back in the pages and shut the book. I won't open it for a few more days.
  24. Glenn, fivebasslimit, and I will be there. What else do you need? Just know that the expo and the weigh-in are not going to be at the same place. They are a few miles apart.
