  1. I have one of each color. They are great.
  2. They are exactly the same thing. Made in the same plant by the same people.
  3. 4/0 Gammy Superline EWG.

  5. On top of that. The only name you can change is your display name.
  6. I know that added a few more gray hairs to your head. Thanks for the hard work Glenn. I don't know what we would do without you.
  7. I wouldn't go any rod longer than 6'. It will be more accurate and easy to use. You wan't a rod with a stong backbone and a fast tip. You need to be able to get the fish out of wherever you skipped the lure without breaking off. With a little practice you can skip just about anything. Weightless plastics are the easiest.
  8. You're asking the Shimano Posse if they prefer a Shimano over another brand. Don't expect a non-biased answer there. lol ;D
  9. I have researched the Spinnerbait Kid. I think his story is cool and I wouldn't mind going out with him but from what I gather from his reports over the last few years he is good at numbers but he doesn't seem to be able to consistently catch the larger ones like other guides do. This is just my observation so it may not be true.
  10. I did alot of research on guides for Guntersville for the trip. I asked one of my friends who is a pro and recently finished high in a tournament on Gville. He told me to call Jeff Read. I booked him for the BR Roadtrip. He is a full time guide on most of the lakes on the Tennessee River. Give him a call at 423-635-2459.
  11. Welcome to the forums. There have been a lot of great suggestions for what reel to by. But you said that you wan't a spinning reel that doesn't cause line twist. Well that ain't gonna happen. Spinning reels cause line twist due to their design. So cause it faster than others but you are going to get it eventually. If you hate line twist then go with a baitcaster.
  12. I would recommend the Okuma. That's all I use these days. You can match that reel up with any higher priced reel and it will hold its own. Make sure you get the Epixor not the Epix. Two totally different reels. Get it in a size 20. Check on ebay for them. That's where I get mine. If you need a couple of good sellers let me know. For a good quality rod you should to find a 6'8" to a 7' Medium Heavy spinning rod to start with. This will cover most your basic techniques to start with.
  13. Welcome to the site. I have a question. Are you looking for a spinning or a baitcasting setup?
  14. There it is in black and white. This guy just screwed himself.

  16. What's up with you Stick Marsh guys. Do you all hate each other. I just had to delete a response from one of Keith's friends. I banned poor Keith a long time ago because he refused to stop attacking one of our major sponsors. If you have a problem with him you can go on that other site that has become overloaded with so many staff members that there is no room for regular members. I am sure he will be glad to respond to you.
  17. That's great. I didn't like that le guy anyway. He caused way to much friction on the forums. 8-)
  18. Natural selection at it's finest.
  19. IMO, you should always take a new reel out and have it lubed and greased. I take them to my reel guy still in the box.
  20. X2 I start throwing them from early Fall through most of the Spring.
  21. I use a 7:1 for almost everything, but the speed of the reel really shines when; Pitching - it gets the lure back to me fast for the next cast. This allows me to fish faster and cover more water. Ripping a lipless crank or spinnerbait through the grass while trying to keep it moving. There is nothing better.
  22. I take of the back hook and add a very large hook to the front when I am fishing grass. It rips out of the grass better.
