  1. This is how I skin my deer exept I don't cut down the back legs. You get alot less hair on the meat that way and in only takes about 5 minutes. The best processing knife out there is a cheep fellet knife and a scrape sharpener. It will last you for dozens of deer and when you have sharpened it to a toothpick you replace it for six bucks.
  2. They keep the bugs out of the cavity of the deer after the guts are removed.
  3. I use Falcon Weighted Hooks. They are basically the same thing but the lead is molded in the exact spot to keep the fluke perpendicular. They also use Gammy Superline hooks.
  4. Crap!!!!!!! Matt just lost some cool points. lol From now untill April I will be using Coot to locate fish.
  5. I wish I could legally share the pictures I have of the many face and mouth cancer patients I have seen. I have seen one that had the entire left side of his face from hair line to chin removed and replaced with a flap of skin that was taken from his butt. The flap covered where his left eye and nose used to be. He died a few days later. He dipped for 28yrs. I knew one guy who was fed through a tube for the last 5 years of his life. Eventually the cancer came back and that was all his body could handle. He died when he was 33 years old. If you would like to get a life insurance policy now just let me know. I'll hook you up. Quit now!!!!!!!! The alternative ain't worth it.
  6. I have one of those big 5day coolers that I keep in the back of my truck. Here in Georgia I am hunting in the heat untill late November so we have to do something to protect the meat and I'm not paying anyone to keep it in their cooler. So I hang it, skin it and quarter it. This takes about 30min tops. I place the quarters and backstraps and neck meat and anything else I can salvage into thick trash bags and then put them in the cooler and add plenty of ice. After that I can either take it to a processor and pay less or I usually take it home and keep ice on it for a few days and then I process it myself.
  7. My best friends mother-in-law is. She is the Manager of the BPS Outlet Store in Macon Ga. She was once married on a Bass Boat. ;D
  8. Those are some great deer man. Congrats on the two does. I have found over the years of keeping records of my hunts that when the mast crop is a bumper crop the deer don't have to go far to find food. It almost seems like they have disappeared. Go out in the middle of the day and look around the oaks. You are looking for spots where the deer bedded down to chew their food the night before. Then locate their bedding area. That afternoon position yourself between these two locations and as close to the bedding area as you dare get. This has worked countless times for me and my buddies.
  9. You need to find a buyer. Those things are worth alot of $$$$$$.

    OUTSTANDING!!!!
  11. Very cool. Good pics to.
  12. Slightly wider, but not noticeable. My best ones don't have paint on them any more. I have started rubbing the paint dull on the new ones with steel wool because of it.
  13. You are amazing. Thank you so much. You saved me some big bucks and a long trip. You are awesome.
  14. If they did THAT, they'd have to ban everybody because opinions are the only thing flowing around here. Very true.
  15. I can tell you that most of Randall's rods and reels look like he just pulled them out of the dumpster, brushed them off and slapped line on them. "Hard on gear" is an understatement. Micro, Everyone is entitled to their own likes and dislikes. We all have different experiences. All Randall did was share his experiences with a couple of reels. You basicly called him a liar by saying his experiance was BS. That offended many of us because of the respect that Randall has earned over the years. From now on please share your oppinions and experiances without attacking someone else for theirs. If you wish to get into a ticking match over this, feel free to PM me. Muddy, You don't need a PM from me to know what I am thinking.
  16. Randall is a good friend of mine. We fish the same waters. What he is saying is that those reels didn't hold up to his fishing. I can tell you that Randall is a professional guide, specializing in trophy bass. He is on the water over 300 days a year and he is hard on his equipment. If you could see all his rods and reels you would agree with me. The fact is that he doesn't have the time to mess with calling the company and trying to get a reel fixed so it can break again. He needs a reel that will hold up to the abuse he dishes out. So find one of those people that you are talking about that fishes as often and who catches the caliber of fish that he does and then we will listen.
  17. I was going to wait for my fishing partner to give me the yes/no but he won't know untill the week before we go. I'm not taking any chances. I am looking for two people to share the cost of the lake shore cabin I have reserved. I don't drink or smoke, but if you do that's fine with me. I'm there to fish with as many of you guys as possible and I do like my sleep. So there won't be much late night partying going on there. I'm going to take care of 1/2 of the cost of the cabin and the other half can be split between the two other people. This will keep the cost down to 176.25 for the week for each person. PM me if you are interested. For those of you who think you can't afford this trip. This is how we save money. The Lake Fork trip ran me around 500 to 600 bucks last year. That's was gas to and from the GA/SC line, gas in the boat, lodging and food. Not bad for a six day trip. So those who want to go please get together and share expenses so everyone can have a good time with no worries.
  18. I want to see picks of the resort hotel, cabins, chalets, boatramp, campgrounds. Inside and out if you can. Thanks for you willingness to help out.
  19. I did that two years ago in the same size boat. I'm hear to tell you that it was a great feeling. Clean and sand that boat and then add carpet and some storage and you will be on your way. Look for a trailor to. It will make useing that boat more enjoyable.
  20. That came to mind when I saw the title of this topic. LOL I knew that you would have something to say about it.
  21. I am going to try to make a trip to Guntersville in a few weeks. I will take lots of pictures to share with you guys. If anyone lives closer than 5hrs drive and is willing to do it please let me know.
  22. Welcome. How did you get an ru address? That is a Russian Domain suffix. We stopped all of them because 99.9% of the ru address are spammers.
  23. Falcon Lowriders are a great choice. I've heard nothing but good things about them.
  24. I wouldn't want that ugly mug with the crooked finger on my computer. lol
  25. Go from the fishing pier towards the dam. Just before you get to the dam you will see some rocks. Fish a lightly weighted watermelon trick worm from those rocks.
