im not sure about the Vendetta. i mounted a 2500 series Sol on one tonight and played with it for about half an hour in the store and theyre a heavy rod. the Falcon Original wouldnt be the worst idea. id also look at the Shimano Clarus.

the add is questionable. look at the rods and rod ratings.

right. odd there was no noted reason for the change. maybe its the curse of the carrot stix.

my gear just goes in the rod locker of my boat and full service once a year and bearing clean/lube 2 times a year for crank bait reels. looks like the natural just gave me something to do on those cold winter nights.

might be a little light for bigger fish. a 2500 series might be a better pick.

that is a nice fish. if those Berkley rods said anything other than Berkley theyd fly off the shelfs. they feel like a million bucks.

i agree. fishing shouldnt be about gear. one of may favorite fishing trips wasnt a fishing trip until i went to a wal mart and bought the cheapest Shakespeare baitcast combo they had and a $10 box of odd ball bass baits. to be honest the Cherrywood rod isnt the worst thing in the world.

what i dont like about them is theres no "feel" for where and how the trolling motor is going to send you when you step on the go button. on a cable motor you always know without looking where youre going by the pitch of the peddle.

i used to try to replace the joy of fishing with buying baits. now id rather go fish of the bank for a few hours and catch nothing than buy stuff i wont use until 2011.

theres a huge debate for and against Rush. money vs image when the NFL is worried about image ill donate my boat and all my gear. this thread should just get locked down now and save time.
