Great waterproof fishing camera
That's a nice camera. I may get one in the near future. Carrying a near-full sized, non-splashproof Sony is a pain (though the mega macro is nice feature). The price for that Olympus, 10.1 mp is amazing. Olympus builds a quality product, too. BTW, great reel, too!

best frog
Try the Netbait 4" frog. In the short time I've used it it has outproduced any other frog/toad I've tried.

Rage Tail 10" Anaconda
I'm going to save some of my 10 inchers until fall. I'm betting it will be a killer striper bait, too.

Good Day at Pony Pasture
I've got to come up with some better footwear. I wore an old pair of leather tennis shoes for wading. They fill up with sand and gravel and kill your feet. But the heavy leather is needed to protect you feet from the rocks. Water shoes or sandals just won't do.

Revo STX
I have a Curado D, and owned a Curado B. Buy the STX.

"The Americans? We're going to smash them"
You know why the streets in Paris are lined with trees? So the German Army can march in the shade. Sorry, I couldn't resist. I happen to like the French - mostly.

Help: Spider Identification
Brown Recluses are the most venomous of North American spiders. Serious envenomations can leave you permanently injured. The venom kills tissue. It can also "poison" the bite site so that even once the bite has stabilized, a skin graft won't take. Bites can range from little pimple looking bites that won't heal, to serious tissue loss. Secondary infections are a worry since the bite venom destroys blood cells that fight infection. There is no antivenin - no antidote. Those spiders like closets and shoes.

Just got a jackall mikey Drool
Jackall isn't the dark side. Buying Jackall is moving into the light. I just bought a few Mikey Jrs. Can't wait to give them a try.

Snakes anyone?
Can't really tell, but they look like Black Rat Snake skins. That last one looks like a Black Rat, too. Those are great snakes to have around. I love snakes.

R.I.P. Bernie
I never watched his show, but I saw him in a few movies. He was a good actor and very funny. I especially liked him in Bad Santa. RIP :'(

Good Day at Pony Pasture
My buddy and me got to PP at about 6:15 AM. Turned out to be a perfect day. We worked our way across the river over to the dam across from the parking area, the one on the other side of the island. On the way, we got probably a dozen smallmouth. We got six more on top of the dam Most were about this size. My bizarre buddy got the biggest of the day. We went back to the car round noon, had lunch and went back out. We got 6 more. Not a bad day. Lots of smallies. I also caught a big Fallfish and we each got a bunch of redbreasts. Bomber Square As iand Rapala Original Floaters in gold and silver were the tickets today.

Oil Prices Plunge!
Because failing to reduce prices of gasoline when crude prices fall would increase the company's profit margin. That margin is already deemed too big (it's actually reasonable) and an increase would be a public relation's nightmare, not to mention more ammo for a windfall-profit tax. Indians and Chinese can afford gasoline when their governments subsidize a principal portion of the cost. Now that prices have gone through the roof, the Chinese and Indian governments can scarcely afford the subsidies and the subsidies have been reduced or lifted causing the average Chinese and Indian to pay a heck of a lot more than they used to. The average Chinese or Indian can't afford it. Therefore, there is a drop in demand, a reduction in crude oil prices, and a drop in gasoline prices. (I predicted this in a post a month or so ago.) Now that the prices are falling, we will see a resumption of some of the subsidies and an increase in demand as a few more Chinese and Indians begin to buy gas again. Gas will never again be $2.00 per gallon. I suspect oil may stabilize at around $85. I think gas will drop to about $2.75. I think that's a low as it will ever go again.

Curado E7 Questions?
The Curado 100D had a graphite sideplate on both sides. The 200E is 100D sized.

Anybody lie?
That's pretty rotten. It wasn't a good thing you did. But you can redeem yourself. Return those Quantums and buy a couple of Abu Garcias.

Fishing elbow???
Good advice. I took 5BL's advice and bought a 'knee' strap at Walmart and it helps, alot. The knee strap is good if you have big forearms.

I KNEW Alpster was an Abu Garcia man! (I have proof)
I went beyond that. You don't want to know the sort of pictures I found around page 12.

Speaking of the Curado E: I swore not to tell, but I have to. Lookee what I got...
I just got the Cabelas Fall Fishing catalog and it states in red letters the Citica is not available until October. If you get it early, let us know, please.

I did not pay for it, nor did I pay for my MEGABASS window decal. Yeah, buddy, I've got it good. BTW, I couldn't get my megabass decal off the paper. :-/

brett to be active on packers roster
I thought the Packers offered him $20 Mil to go away and never come back to the NFL? Since he won't, they signed him? I agree withthe previous poster, a great legacy. He retired on top. Now he's marred it. Sad.

A Shimano Curado E mousepad. My friendly neighborhood tackle store gave it to me. They told me not to tell since it wasn't out officially yet. And I wanted to bring it home and try it out before giving a review. It's lighter than my old Curado D mousepad, but with the same area. And as you can see, the reel is green, not grey. Jealous, huh? It's good to have connected friends.

Sweet fish, especially the striper.

Jackall Mikey Jrs.
I have a bad tendancy to ask how things work after I buy them, but I may not get out for a few weeks to see for myself, so I figured I'd ask. I bought a few Jackall Mikey Jrs in Tennessee Shad and Golden Shiner today. Anyone use them? Are they good baits? I've been pleased with other Jackall baits and I got these for killer prices so I didn't want to pass them up.
