Organizing your hardbaits
Just wondering how you folks that have a very large collection of hardbaits organize your lures. I find myself somtimes organizing by brand, and sometimes by type, and some times by lure diving depth. I have a boxes for wakebaits, a boxes for jointed wakebaits, boxes for popper type baits, boxes for hollow frog, boxes for other topwaters, and a boxes for swimbaits. They are filled with the same class of lures regarless of brand. Then I have a boxes of shad-rap type baits that I organize by diving depth, regardless of brand. Then I have some boxes of cranks that only have Lucky Crafts, some with just Jackall, some with Ima and OSP, mainly because I don't like mixing these in with Bombers, Rebels and other brands. They way I have things set up, I can find things quickly, but still feel horribly unorganized. Also, I have way too many baits to take them all with me fishing. What do you do? I have a soft bag that will hold like 7 3700 size boxes. I usually pick out what I want to take then put them in that soft bag. Anyone have a really good organizational method?

Genetics no doubt play a part, too.

Abu 501 vs 601 vs 701
The 601 has an upgraded drag from the 501. The 601 has fewer bearings, but has the HPCR bearings. The bearings in the 501 are stainless steel. The 601 can sometimes be had for the same price as the 501. I'd go with the 601 over the 501. The 701 steps it up from the 601 with all metal contruction - body, sideplate, rotor, bail arms, etc. The 701 is an excellent reel.

baitcasting-easiest casting reel
That's the ticket X3 It's also a reel you won't "outgrow" like alot of cheaper BC's, so you'll actually save money in the long run. You know, I have to agree with this. I got to cast this reel a bit yesterday and today. The Patriarch really is a good reel. The thing that really impressed me is the size. It feels smaller than the Revo. It's about as big as the TD Sol. It palms very well. Unlike with the Revo or Curado, you can wrap your front index finger around the front of the reel and not even feel the pawl cap as it sweeps back and forth. Along with more expensive Daiwas, it's the best palming reel out there. The other thing is that the spool doesn't hold too much line. It's enough for long casts, but not so much that it won't throw a light bait. I was pretty impressed with how far this reel would throw a 1/4 practice plug. Now that Pure Fishing is servicing these reels in their Iowa World HQ, I not only get an excellent reel, you get PF's excellent customer service.

New Revo STX.... LUBE?
All of my Revos came virtually dry of lubricant. You can open it up and lube it. Grease on the gears, a little oil on everything else. If that doesn't do it, return it for another, or get yourself a Patriarch.

That ship apparently turned around and went back towards home.

Yo-Zuri EDGE Trembler Minnow
Try it out and post a review. Yo-Zuri makes some outstanding lures (lipless Hardcore Drum, 3D cranks, etc) and some that sorta suck (3D minnow). I'm betting that lure will fall within this range.

north korea
They lauched a handful to short-ranged missiles into the Sea Of Japan. Fireworks, if you will. To celebrate the 4th of July and American Independence Day! That darned Kim Jong Il. I can see him now, marching round his palace in a powdered wig, hold an American flag in one hand, and a sparkler in the other, singing "I'm a Yankee Doodre Dandy.".

PSA - Check behind your TM prop
Everytime I come home, I take that prop off. Even algae can build up behind it. Once it is dry, it turns into paper mache.

Need a good photo editor
Corel Paint Shop Pro is what I use. I've used GIMP, but it's just too much for what I need. Corel fills the bill nicely. It's also very intuitive, so it's easy to use.

KVD Line conditioner?
I finally broke down and bought a bottle of this stuff. After using for a couple of weeks, I've found it to be more trouble than its worth. Any benefit I've seen is minimal, and it sure doesn't seem to stay on the line long. Reapplying it while fising is a PITA. And frankly, I think it makes the effect of line twist on spinning reels worse. It think it make the line soft to the point it twirls on itself easier.

Brackish Water and Bass
I've caught croaker and trout in the same waters I've caught bass. But I think these fish are far more tolerant of fresh water than bass are of saltwater.

How would you fish a 5.5 roboworm?
Any way, but they excel on shaky heads and on split shot rigs. I fished them last weekend on a Gamakatsu straight shank 2/0 worm hook with a 3/8 oz spitshot about 18 inches above the hook. I fished it in weeds in about 10 feet of water and did very well.

Affairs
I don't think he fooled you. I think you just like anyone in stilettos. Seriously, though. At my place of employment, it's like a friggin' soap opera. People cheating on their spouses left and right. It is rather nauseating. It's gotten to the point that me and several of my male friends are quite frank with each other if we observe one another doing anything that could be questioned. I want no part of the sordid lifestyles some people are living.

Super light weight Patriarch on its way
You're right. But it seems they have the big dogs in their sites. The Patriach must be quite a reel. I notice on TT that most people who had both preferred the Patriarch to the Curado E. And that's saying something coming from a Shimano worship site.

Line snapping (Braid Help)
Stop using braid. You don't need it. Braid is garbage. Any line that requires backing, requires a leader, and can't take abrasion sucks.

Michael Jackson
Michael Jackson was in his prime in the '80s, during a time when music meant a whole lot to me. I liked rock, and only listened to MJ when it was on the radio. I liked his music, but never bought any of it. Only since he sort of wierded-out did I come to realize just how good of an entertainer he was. His performance of Billie Jean at Motown in '83 has got to be his single best performance. In a "young Elvis" sort of way, he looked to be in his prime. His moves were flawless. It was when he was the quintessential Michael Jackson.

Braid..........its not just for fishing anymore!
I used Stren Sinking Braid to sew up a leaf tarp I use when raking leaves. IMO, this is the best use for braid.
