  1. Our bodies naturally generate heat....the most importiant thing we can do is preserve that heat. We do this by keeping the wind off our bodies as much as possible. When it is cold, I ALWAYS have gore-tex on as my outer layer...both wind proof and water proof. Layering is effective and most people have their favorites. I prefer merino wool...as my base layer and insulating layer. IMO, nothing wicks as well, and nothing keeps ME as warm if I do sweat a bit. When it is really cold and windy, I add another insulating layer of primaloft filled vest/jacket...very warm yet not bulky. I agree with Sam ...not about the SEC, , but about covering ones head. In my personal experience...it is vital to keep your head covered. I prefer a windproof balaclava...over a light merino wool balaclava. Wool socks and a waterproof hiker..hunting boot and I am good to go. One thing, tight boots are not conducive to warm feet.
  2. How long does one need to soak bearings in Perfect Solution? I flushed all bearings last year, and was wondering how long bearings need to soak? Thanks.
  3. Last line should say...Glad you are following your dream... for some reason I couldn't edit it.
  4. Best of luck to you. I am sure you will do great. Have fun, and pass on that learning is fun. It is an enormous responsibility you are undertaking, and the lives you influence will be many. Glad you following your dream.
  5. OUTSTANDING! Thanks for posting Sam
  6. Literally made me sick to my stomach watching the video...No way I could ever do that.
  7. If you haven't seen it, check out the 14 + minute tribute...very emotional. Scott Van Pelt especially had a difficult time. It was obvious Stuart made an impact on his co-workers. Really feel bad for his two daughters...having lost my mother a few months ago, I know the pain, but I am a 51 year old. I believe his daughters are 19 and 14... can't imagine how difficult it is on them. May God Bless Stuart and his family. RIP.
  8. I use that exact line for spinnerbaits, swim jigs, small swimbaits. very good line, and very cost effective. I purchase two 600 yard spools from a vendor on an auction site for roughly 20 bucks.
  9. I thought Walmart greeters had to be friendly? :D
  10. Same here.
  11. yes, but not before 2015
  12. Mostly 3/4 ounce...hidden weight spinnerbaits. I fish them into the wind, and these are much easier to cast. I occasionally drop down to 1/2 ounce with some painted blade models. I fish from the bank, and like the ability to cast as far as necessary, thus the 3/4 ounce meets my needs. I use different blade combinations from double willow to single large colorado depending on time of day, weather conditions, depth, and time of year.
  13. When I talk to myself...people listen.
  14. Oh....one more thng....that picture you posted is WAY COOL! congrats.
  15. I admire your dedication and determination....not something I would generally associate with an Eagles fan! Congratulations on your accomplishments so far, and congratulations in advance on your completion of your degree and obtaining your teaching certificate. From your responses on here, (other than the Eagles thing)...I find you to be thoughtful, cerebral, and openminded witih the ability to listen to others ... Sounds like an outstanding teacher to me. Keep going.
  16. deaknh03 for President!!!
  17. Seahawks = Deepest, most talented team in league right now. It is a long season, but I don't see anyone beating them...if they stay relatively healthy, and have home field advantage in playoffs. Many people poked fun at the Pete Carroll hiring...I don't hear that much anymore. The guy certainly has a way of motivating a football team. Wonder if Jerry Jones can buy him????
  18. Congratulations Mike. Awesome news.
  19. I throw a few different type wakebaits...strike king wake shad, lucky craft, manns, etc. I throw mine on either a 6'8" or 7'4" crankbait rod. I would have no problem using a medium fast action rod either....I use the crankbait rod because I have the reflexes of a jungle cat
  20. I agree with all above.
  21. I use ultrasoft #6 on spinning gear, and I use both Ultrasoft and regular on baitcasters, both in the #10 and #12 sizes. I think the line is very good, and have no problems with any. I bought the big spools (4800 yards?) when they were on sale for 22-29 bucks. I am set for awhile. I do use KVD line & lure on both. Keep in mind, accordiing to Yo-zuri website #6 breaks at 11.9 lbs #10 breaks at 16.5 lbs #12 breaks at 19.5 lbs
