I have 2 Carbonlite reels that are close to 20 years old (?) a white 5.3, and a grey 6.4...they still work great although haven't been used much in the last few years. The grey is getting 50# braid and going on my frog / pike rod, replacing my Abu Record - that reel is smooth but too heavy.

I'm thinking a L&S Mirrolure (usually saltwater baits) with different trebles on it.

I have a Cabelas about 50 minutes away from me and have only been there twice. First time a week or 2 after it opened, and the other about 5 years ago. Not impressed in either trip. Hunting, camping, clothing and some fishing gear. If i were a walleye, salmon,trout, or live bait guy i might have liked it. Never even looked on their website. BPS is about 1/2 hour away - has a great selection of bass gear, including a decent amount not store brand. Their website is atrocious (?). Won't even visit to see what is in clearance. Line and terminal tackle is about all i buy these days anyhow.

1981 was my first year of season tickets, $125 for the season (1 seat). 35 seasons later (2015) it was $780 per seat and i had 2, and it was my last year. I have no clue what those cost now.

I think his salary "demand" last year was just to keep him with the Lions, I think he will stay until he gets to a super bowl. Plus, not everyone wants to be a head coach. More $, more headaches, and less time doing what he likes O/C- ing. I am hoping that Sheila throws them both too much money to leave. Let's finish this thing.

I think the Bears have finally got themselves a quarterback. Tough fought game, players on both sides getting knocked out of the game. Lion's defense had only 2 starters starting the game. Aaron Glenn (D/C) is trying to keep it together, I will hate losing him as a head coach somewhere next year.

I'm not a fan of powder paint. I use acrylic paint and seal with Devcon 2 ton epoxy. Takes a little longer, but doesn't chip off or gunk up the line tie. And i'm only doing a dozen (or less) at a time...

If you have owned it since new, get the same type /size that's already in it.

There were a lot of boats on Orchard lk. yesterday. I buttoned up my boat for the season saturday. I know a few guys that will fish into december....
