I'm sure alot of us have heard this joke, but for those who didn't... A couple of musky guys were trolling in lake St. Clair. After a few hours with no success, they heard a lady screaming at the water's edge. They went over to her to see what was wrong and if they could help in any way. After a few minutes the lady calmed down and said that her little dog was swimming in the lake when a musky came by and ate it. One of the fisherman asked her what color the dog was.....

I use spingear only because i can cast them farther, no other reason.

I think 1974 was my first year subscribing, and i missed a few yrs in the 80's, but still buy it now. I think the mag is not as good as it used to be. Every article seems to be just a sound-bite, and i'm left wanting to know more. I think it's worth the $15.

C'mon Lions - This may be your only chance at a win this year. I have been taking alot of crap over the years for still buying season tickets for the lions. For the second straight home game, they haven't sold out, so it will be blacked out locally. Can the Jags lose 2 straight to 0-8 teams? You betcha! C'mon Dante, lead us to a win that most will not witness....

It puts so much pressure on the bail, it keeps wanting to "slip" or open when you're retrieving those big-lipped cranks. The gear strength is not the culprit......wishin i was fishin...

Even though i called it "ugly", i didn't mean it wouldn't catch a bass. I noticed it didn't catch the bass in your picture though...

I have a 7' mh bps extreme that can handle a dd22, but i don't have a spin reel that can handle them. Those baits are tough on reels - i'd stop at a dd14 and keep the 22's for a baitcast rig.

Clear/blue flourescent is the only line i use. XL if i can get it, Stren if i must. It's easy to see in any sun/cloud conditions, works for me no matter what lure i'm using, and is relatively cheap.

T-rig, i have now seen what they call "butt ugly"......

I've HAD it with you guys and all your wins. Oakland- hahaha, real nice 77 yards you gained there. What looks more ridiculous, your "players" or your fans? Miami- good for you- you had a tough year last year and that's what i'm going through this year. (well, for the last 8 or 9). I am proud to say that i saw every Barry Sanders home game (pre-season & real) in person, and he was The MOST EXCITING RB of all time. Maybe not the best, the most, or even the "go-to" guy, but when he took the ball, you knew that he would make at LEAST 1 guy look stupid trying to tackle him. 80,000+ fans shouting BARE-E,BARE-E.....those were the days. Unfortunately, i may not live long enough to see the lions win the trophy. (i'm 51 now) still buy my ticket..detroit1

Muddy is right on. If you think a certain lure sucks, there will be someone here that slays 'em on it! My lure for this catagory would have to be those basstrix-types, but i have never bought or tried them. I wanted to, but just decided not to. How about an overrated color? Sexy shad. If they come out with a sexy shad tube, lizzard,flippin jig, worm,frog, creature, or craw this year i will puke...

All i can do with soft plastics in the winter is look at them. >

XL in 6&8# (spinning) and 10 & 12# (casting) 14# (pike) Tried braid and copolymers and did not like them.

Mine would be a dropshot. Any depth, any soft plastic,any cover,or any structure. You can cover alot of water without a lot of "downtime". (casting past your target, getting the bait to the depth or location you want, reeling back to make your next cast, etc.) Just my .02

Geez basser89, writing all that info down after each fish, the bite will be over before you can make your next cast !
