  1. http://www.***.com/descpageHDTSNAG-SPBK.html It eats that scum frog P.O.S for lunch.
  2. My Dick's had them but are since out and I haven't bothered to order any from anywhere.Afterall why would they restock something that sells that they can make money off of :-X
  3. Bought one while back when they first came out.It is now residing in the county dump.No weight in the belly, legs do not kick at all whatsoever and it is basically worthless. Maybe they made some improvements to it since then. I would reccomend the snag proof kicker frog instead.A little expensive but it is a fish catching machine.
  4. That works! A lot of times I go out and go through the kitchen sink too much but I am also now learning to stick to basics and control the presentaion more.If an edible item is presented properly in front of a bass they will eat it. On the other hand when the fish are chewing left and right I really like to start switching it up sometimes just to get an idea of what all they would be willing to hit out of curiosity. This can be the best time to learn new baits and techniques. You already know darn well they will hit one thing then you can go back to it if the other things fail 8-)
  5. I like them. They are nice hooks. The offset on the shank holds a bait nice and straight and keeps it from sliding down. They run big though. Some brands 3/0 is bigger or smaller than someone elses 3/0.
  6. x2 You must have bought the baby version. I just got a bag of the 5" and the bait is alot bulker than the ugly otter. I'm going to try this thing on the weekend. Maybe he did buy the baby one.It wouldn't surprise me one bit coming from someone who is intimidated to throw anything bigger than a crappie lure fishing for bass : ;D That bigger one sounds pretty cool. 8-) Like I said i wasn't a big fan of how that little one had a perfectly flat body.Almost no way to hook it unless you used a size 1 or finesse style nose hook.
  7. x2 I might add that you also have to have confidence that the spot you are fishing is holding fish in order to stay focused. At least 90% of the fish aren't biting 90% of the time. Changing the way you are working the bait(s) is more important than changing baits altogether with color being the least important factor.
  8. True, but the hard part is when you throw in the wind factor.By far that is the worst kind of worm bite.Wind blowing a bow in your line making it next to impossible to feel the initial pick up and then streaking straight towards you.I know I know, use a heavier weight and or floro line, except the fish wont always hit it with a heavy weight...
  9. The one by gambler (ugly otter I am assuming) isn't even a close match except for the paddle tail. My buddy got a pack of the hyper freak. We haven't used them yet.Truthfully I don't really like it though.I thought from the pictures that it would be a little more bulky and round bodied. The bait is very small and the body is paper thin. Not really my cup of tea.Looks like you could use it for a drop shot.Fans of the berkley beast may like this bait.
  10. He's a keeper 8-)
  11. Trash them and get Zoom. Took the words right out of my mouth! ;D
  12. X2 the owner 4/0 wide gap plus is the best hook for that bait.
  13. I had more laughs watching the Smurfs
  14. When to use it? Never. Sucks > Just my opinion
  15. Junebug and black and blue flake are paramount for me since I fish mostly tannic tea colored water.green pumkin/chart tip are killer as well.
  16. it's the standard size sizmic, not the junior Other trailers I like are: Fluke, rage craw, zoom fat albert grub, paca craw, berkley power minnows, zoom finesse worm.
  17. Yeah, good question, and I live in Florida where they are made.Wally World sells them, but a very limited selection : I also seen the ribbon tails at BPS but they were only the 8 inch ones and once again a very limited selection. Thats why I said in my other post if that you see them ****** them.Their floater style worms(trickworm) are killer as well and barely sink.
  18. My buddy has one. Don't know the exact specs but it does sink faster than the sebile. It also maintains its depth even at higher speeds without rising. The sebile doesn't. It looks like a real nice bait to me.Size and profile similar to a spook.A wider wobble=more water displacement=better for the dirtier water I fish around here.I'll see soon perhaps.
  19. You have to use mend- it.It isn't a glue. It melts the plastic from the inside out and reforms it.You can save an incredible amount of money on baits by using it so don't let the price per bottle fool you. http://www.menditglue.com/ I don't know about it drying out(evaporating). That's what they make caps for.To use them. I have had my bottle for 2 months now and have never seen the level of the liquid drop from drying up and have repaired several dozens of baits plus made a lot of my own creation baits.I pretty much use it every day and it will probably last me well over a year. Super glue and such is not recommended.Been there done that. It will leave hard spots on the bait and for 1:will kill some of the action, and for 2:will make it hard to insert your hook correctly through those areas. Not to mention it is just a messy pain in the @ss.
  20. Charlies worms are great baits! Most of what you smell is anise. If you can find the ten inch worms,****** them. They are way fatter in the body than most any others on the market.
  21. Simply incredible! Stellar job landing that beast! You've obviously got some skills. Add me to the jealous list! ;D What kind of line were you using that was able to withstand such a brutal assault?
  22. What I have found with this lure, like a lot of Japanese baits,is that it is kinda weird and different. It is made with a very wide wobble it also has a lot of roll. You must retrieve it very slowly and deliberately with the rod up to make it wake the surface. It isn't much for burning. You can fish it with short rips or also lower your rod tip down and crank it just under the surface, but slowly too. You ever have a really fat wide wobble crankbait? Some of them are made to run slow to moderate retrieve only.Any faster and it will flop one way or the other. Double check to make sure it is tuned correctly.(yeah I know you shouldn't have to on a premium bait) It is already a pretty unstable bait as it is since it has such an exaggerated wobble.I imagine if it is out of tune it would be quite worthless. Also check to make sure the prop spins very freely and effortless. If that is out of whack I am sure it could cause problems too. All in all it is a great lure, but very different. When I threw it the first couple times I said man this is junk! Then I learned how to use it.I don't have nor have ever use any other bait that works quite like this one.It produces some very violent strikes. Now if someone could help me with the Jackall Giron.I keep hearing how great that bait is but all mine does is flop around on its sides and runs like a complete P.O.S. with no action whatsoever :
  23. Hurricanes. They are good for something.
  24. Good job yankin that one! Nice pictures
  25. This has already been discussed Mark.It smells like dead shad! Yesterday I made an order for some "dead shad toast" with my pizza take out and the kid looked at me like I was crazy.I told him that thats what dead shad smelled like and it is the new age name for garlic. :
