  1. Tried it and don't like it.It doesn't have the action that the original does. Seems to do ok wacky rigged, but still don't like it.To each his own.I am sure it will catch fish rigged a variety of ways, but I can't see anything special about it that says I need these.
  2. x2 The rage products are especially durable.I can re-use a craw or annaconda many many times and they are also very compatible with mend-it. As far as claws, tails, appendages falling off I would like one person to name me a plastic bait, any bait at all that doesn't happen too.Well of course it will not happen if you don't like catching fish.

  4. That fish looks like a plain old rock bass to me although I have no knowledge if those are found in Texas. Nice frog ya got there too.
  5. Look at the shape of that fish Excellent catch my friend
  6. Thats a hell of a sow Paul. Thanks for the post. The spawn has been over for quite some time here :'(
  7. Agree, but was just saying that the action on these is indeed incredible. Nothing is as good as the original, but I would gladly stock up on these in a heartbeat if Wally would actually carry some semblance of colors. Now let the trash fly :-X
  8. Nice honey hole.Looks like a great place to slide my JB into. Thanks for posting.
  9. LMAO Now Now don't be mean guys
  10. Dumb and probably been answered a hundred times question: JJ's really does not bleed all over other baits?? When using spike it if you dye a few strands of a spinnerbait red the whole skirt turns pink or if you dye the tail of a worm chart then put the bait back in the bag then all the other baits get yellow spots on them. The other problem with spike it is when using on some plastics it will instantly eat them.I have had tails and claws fall off and you must throw it in the water quickly after application. Does JJ do this too?? To the original poster: Mend it is an incredible product.I would buy it even it it cost twice as much. I have fixed a couple hundred plastic baits plus made many of my own creations on one bottle. It is especially useful for those large expensive baits that only come few per pack. If you are a swimbaiter then one or two fixed baits will instantly pay for the bottle. It takes a little practice to use effectively. It is not a glue.It melts the plastic from the inside out.If you apply to a small hole or crack it will become a large rip and fall apart.Thats okay,it is what you want.Just hold the bait together for a few seconds or even blow on it.Then apply a tiny amount on the outside for assurance if needed. After about a min or two you can actuall pull on the bait or stick a hook through it. There is a boring but informative video here: http://www.menditglue.com/
  11. True, but not true.A ribbon tail will catch fish regardless because of its slender squirmy profile but many times the worm will cause line twist if the tail, hook, and line are not in line.I always rig it right on the seam.Tail up or down, but prefer up. This is also the reason why I absolutely detest zoom worms. The flat spot is on the wrong side. The worm swims sideways and twists your line to no end.I am surprised that whoever designed their molds didn't do much research into the basics of hydrodynamics.
  12. I too would reccomend them. The action is incredible on them and I am a diehard yammy guy. This bait is so soft it actually undulates and swims when you reel it in. I want to get more in some better colors but have only found them at Wallys so far.I got the green pumkin and the green pumkin/chart swirl which is an excellent color. I am glad you posted it. I was also about to post the same review on here. I decided not to since this will obviously turn into a my senko is better than your senko thread. I can get 25 for $x.00 but they are stiff as leather, durable though. No I like tiki sticks.Dingers are better! Yada Yada blah blah blah.
  13. that is a KILLER color on baby brush hogs Agree. It is a killer color on a lot of baits but I think this gentleman may have been looking for the green pumkin blue flake color. Please clarify Warhawk.
  14. Wal mart sucks big style anyways. The ones around here carry 90% saltwater sh-- anyways, same as dicks, which of course cuts way down on the bassin tackle. There are a select couple of things that I depended on getting there though and now they decided to stop carrying them.Jointed shad raps, certain colors of spooks and rattletraps, yum products, owner worm hooks, and they have also gotten rid of all the gambler items they carried. : >
  15. Maybe not. Zoom does/did make a green pumkin w/ blue flake color.I have thus far only seen it in trickworms. The speed craws may have been a special run. Your best bet would be to try to contact zoom.
  16. Not a fan of them of any variety at all. While I know they catch fish just fine for some I personally feel there are better options for designs, colors, actions, and megastrike takes care of the fish won't let go thing. I admit though when they first came on the market when I was younger they were the shiznit.
  17. Agree. That is an incredible fish!
  18. Biggest joke on the market right now ;D
  19. Are you using braided line?
  20. Depends on water clarity. If you got tea stained reddish or brown water like is common around here then bright colors or shades of whites work just fine. Same if the water is a soupy green. Plastics,go dark.
  21. Ya have to actually know how to use a topwater to get a topwater bite JK Not sure of what kind of water you are fishing but if you are walking the bank my suggestions would be: rapala shallow shad raps, rapala dt flat 3 and dt4 cranks, zara spook puppy and super spook jr,1/8 ounce buzzbaits and spinnerbaits,1/4 oz rattletraps.A frog such as bronzeye or bronzeye popper are essential as well.
  22. LOL I just got another pack of 12 inch culprits. They come in the same pack as the 7 inchers. They look shoddy to say the least. Another one to mention is zoom super flukes. It is extremely vital that these baits are rigged straight and at least half the baits in a pack have kinks.
  23. I caught several 5+ fish this year running the rage craw through known bedding areas during low light morning and evening.I mentally marked the exact locations where I seen the spooky hogs lurking. This is yet another great way to use this bait. I am not as good at telling great fish stories though. ;D Way to go man,and thanks for the post.
  24. Yep.If I just need to do a few I stick a cup of water in the micro and bring it just to a light boil.Dip the bait in the water at least 30 secs then run it under cold water for 30 secs.Lay out on paper towel for a while. If you doing a bunch then boil a whole pan, remove from heat, then dip away. There are some baits that I do this to whether they look bad or not. They will always swim better because they get loosened up and softened and run perfect afterwards. Some examples would be,rage shads, ribbit frogs,or any type of topwater frogs, swimbaits for sure, ribbontail worms too, especially when the pack they come in is way too short for the baits contained within, and gambler flappin worms.
