17 floro is excellent on the Anacondas although some use lighter and many use much heavier lines. These are mainly designed for Tx rig and Carolina rig. Also standard weight used on Tx rigs are 1/4 to 1/2 oz. Just as mentioned, this bait can be fished in many ways but I don't think top water is it's strong suit. Now swimming it weightless just under the surface real slow and pausing off and on over the moss and grass beds might cause arm and ligament damage. And on pause let it fall for a minimum of 5 sec. each time.... Remember 5/0 ewg min. on 10" and I advise superline hooks. Big O

For top water, use a 5/0 ewg and turn the Anaconda over so that the tail is turned down..... Big O

Ron, my experience with this is that we transported almost 200 F-1 brood fish from one 50 acre lake to the another over a period of 1 mth. The folks who were fishing the recipient lake during this period (catch and release only) said that the fishing improved within the first week. Big O

A good size are 4inch and 5inch. Colors I'd say go with black or black/blue in heavily stained/muddy water, overcast days, and at dusk/night. Clear water/sunny I'd recommend watermelonseed or cinnamon brown, but greenpumpkin will do. Lightly stained/sunny I'd use greenpumpkin. A good hook for rigging senkos would be http://img.***.com/ProductImages/GOSWG.JPG, its a Gamakatsu EWG. You can find them in sports authority/dicks Or pretty much any tackleshop. You want to use size 2/0 for 4inch senkos, and 3/0 for 5inch senkos. Your right Muddy...one evening a couple of weeks ago, the neighbors kids and I had a slugfest on small spinner baits and rattletraps. Then the next morning, a friend and I took our wives and whacked the same group of fish on jerk baits and flukes. They had so much fun, that evening they grilled the steaks while he I drank beer and watched ball games. But for the last few years the majority of my fishing is about checking baits, so it's Jigs and soft plastics. And no complaints here 'cause that kinda style suits me just fine.....slow and easy. Rooster, if you are fishing tournaments with this rig and you need to land every fish without line breaks due to split shot crimp, use a small slip sinker bullet weight etc, and rubber peg it. This gives you an opportunity to land larger fish on this lighter set up than on a standard split shot. Big O

Thats a fine lake and from what I've heard it has been producing well recently....Wonder if all of the rain changed it up much. You might call around to get some info on it. I will as well and let you know what i find out. Big O

Relax Bassnajr, Rome wasn't built in a day, or a fishing season, and Rome is still one off the most popular cities on earth.... I posted the following info recently to assist on another thread and hope it helps you as well. Time and patience is all it takes to catch fish and gain confidence with jig fishing. My best advice from the beginning is: 1) Stay shallow in 8ft or less. 2) Stay light on the weight of your line 12 lb or so, and jig maybe 1/4 oz. max 3) Stay out of the wind as much as possible so you can concentrate on your technique. 4) Stay slow on your hops, twitches and drags and maintain contact with the bottom, fish them much like Tx rigged worms. 5) STAY WITH IT. Last but not least, it is extremely helpful to use a trailer that provides great action to your jig in every situation whether it is on the fall, with the slightest movement of your rod tip or on a swimming retrieve. I guess you can figure out which trailer I would advise... Big O
