  1. Hello RoseAngler, For sure on the Craw, use it Tex Rigged, Carolina rigged, or as a weightless finesse topwater. The Craw can also be used as a jig trailer by pinching the body to a desired length. On the Rage Toad, I am more partial to a 5/0-6/0 EWG super-line (heavy wire) hook. Many use a light keel weighted hook in the same sizes to achieve more distance on cast, and a slightly deeper sound and allows the Rage Toad to fall quicker when pausing in pockets. This is a buzz toad and be sure to pop the small tear tabs loose on each foot before fishing. Hope this information helps and hope you are very successful on your upcoming fishing trip as well. Be sure and let us know how you do and thanks for your support. Big-O www.ragetail.com
  2. Go get him Sam, Big O
  3. WTG Paul, persistence paid off for you and great fish! Big O
  4. I think that each of us have seen and felt the ill effects of lacking confidence while fishing. We also know the bad habits it allows to propagate. So to avoid these ill effects by whatever means necessary is not only the key to understanding exactly what confidence is but more importantly how to gain confidence in fishing. With this said, Catt's response is not only the most simple but absolutely correct and complete... Big O

  6. yep... Big O
  7. Nice fish HAWG Fisher, and your comment on slowing things down works year around, especially for improving size opportunity as you have shown.... Big O
  8. Yes bass wrangler, but at night you might want to mix it up a bit and use a frog that makes some racket as well. Larger presentation, more vibration and noise at night is a rule to fish by.... Big O
  9. I agree, good line and good price. And the line conditioner is great for all floro's and mono's. Big O
  10. Don't matter Sunshine, It was a giant and CONGRATS to ya.....And thank you from all of us for giving priority to the health of your trophy above all else. We all enjoyed the story as this is what bass fishing memories are all about. Big O
  11. WTG Rondef and Nitro....you guys are on fire... Big O
  12. Nice to hear they're workin for you RW. When Shaw Grigsby and I did the show on them, we caught all sizes of fish from 12" to 25" and all came on the 10" model. The 7" model is very appealing as well and actually appears slightly larger with the action.... Which color Anaconda are you fishing? Big O
  13. Good fish Tom, worth it! Big O

No way Todd would ever diss Kevin, they are too good'a bud's . But I did think Kevin showed a real touch of class yesterday when he actually was doing as much or more guiding for his co angler than he was trying to place higher in the top 50 standings. He knew that there were other fellow Elite anglers that were trying to place higher so that they might make the Classic cut, so he backed off and gave them their head.... Now thats a Real Class Act from a Real Class Act! Big O
  15. Welcome to the group and let us know about your fishing ideas Big O
  16. Welcome to the group Flywatersmallie, and glad you're here. There are are many here that can use your knowledge of fly fishing, I'm sure. So well make an even trade...how'bout it. Big O
  17. Place in cup of hot water near boil for a few minutes or so and cool it same time in cool water..Done and it works on all soft plastic baits. Thanks for helping him guys Big O
  18. Yep, even PaPa's like to catch a fish ever now and then, according to my grandson Michael.... Terrific George, Big O
  19. George, that's just downright good stuff. But we need to remember that if all women liked to fish as much as those gals do, there would be absolutely no room on any body of water for fishing. Only bumper boats... ;D Big O
  20. Also longer rods and stronger mainlines mean more sweep and less line stretch. Remember, you not only have to move the C rig weight before you can hit the fish but there are no guarantees that the fish is straight down line from the weight either...he could be forward of the weight which requires even more sweep and pressure to get proper hook penetration. Big O
  21. that's fishin....don't you love it. Great story.. Big O
  22. Marshmaster, you been hanging around Greg Hackney haven't you....He's the only one I know of in Louisiana that has those Space Monkey's....When I talked with him 2 weeks ago he said he was almost out of 'em and needed more....hmmmmm. That boy must be sellin'em ;D Great photo and congrats, thats awesome looking water you have there Big O
  23. Wherever you would throw a buzzbait and more...the bait works well in the slop too. I would follow the above mentioned advice on line choice to heavier mono or braid, wouldn't want to see you get a big fish to strike and miss the hook up because the line stretched too much. Big O
