Catching Big Fish Consistently
WRB is right... You might want to try Lake Ray Roberts which is 40 miles North of the DFW metroplex or Lake Fork which is only 80 miles East of there. I've caught MANY overs from these two lakes. There are several smaller lakes in the area that have overs as well, but the first two are the big two. www.ragetail.com

Slobbin' In The Fog
Jim_M, those are each different fish and caught on two different days... they were Wendell and Ronnie's best ones for each day as well. And as for the ole TICKER I still get fired up with every hookset and every STRETCHING line... and it doesn't have to be my own! Thanks for your comment! Dwight, I reckon we're friends... We wear the same type of SHORTS we just haven't fished together... YET Gff and Packard, If you weren't my friends... I probably wouldn't be on BR and you wouldn't take the time to comment on my post And MsM, I wish all Ladies like yourself loved to fish just half as much as you do... It might cure most all of the WORLDS WOES Here's a photo of Wendell in the "Jump Seat" (center seat) while we're running 60 down the lake in rather COOL temps. He took it like a CHAMP www.ragetail.com

Slobbin' In The Fog
Took a couple of Good friends (Wendell and Ronnie) to the lake with me this week and seeing them LOAD UP on fish like these make GOOD days even BETTER! Extreme Fog the first day made hiding from others who fish the "Boat Pattern" much easier, so I was able to stay on my spots a little longer Then the second day was clear and WINDY making fishing conditions a bit tougher. Rage Lobsters and or Space Monkeys T-rigged or trailing jigs did the deed for us and Wendell and Ronnie doubled up several times which started a Wrestling match on the back of the boat when lines were crossed Most of our bigger fish came from the deeper side but the shallow fish were more numerous. If I had my way, I'd fish with friends every time because Big Smiles, High Fives, and Bangin' Elbows is hard to do by yourself. Plus you have someone to share a story and an adult beverage with... Cavern Mouth Bass!
"Cavern Mouth BASS" seems fitting for specimens like this one, lol. Fishing by myself and looking for new haunts paid off with this Huge headed BABE! My other photo didn't turn out (got blurry SCALES and a part of a tail) 'cause either my arm wasn't long enough or more likely I'm just a terrible photographer Look close and you'll see a 4" Lobster and a 1oz Big O brush jig down in there, and had I not been using 25lb test line, she would have easily sawed me off with her teeth during the fight. When I get the opportunity to be awed by such huge Mouths... I always start to wonder, what is the largest prey that this particular fish has tried to fit in that Chasm Caught several fish pitchin a Space Monkey in shallow brush but the deep bite seems to be better for a larger average size. I think I'll stay "OFF THE DEEP END" for awhile, hehehe! Big O www.ragetail.com

Help! Santa Won't Go Home!!!
We posted this topic at Rage Talk as well, to get more assistance with Santa's situation Paul posted this over there and I thought we needed it here too Big O www.ragetail.com (from Paul) 'twas two weeks before Christmas, but forget the snow. Santa was down south fishin' with his buddy Big O. the Ragetails were cast in brushpiles with care, in hopes that some whoppers were living in there. and wouldn't you know it, as if on cue, Santa whacked a 12 pounder, then Big O caught two. for days of sheer mayhem they continued to score, until rods were all broken and thumbs were all sore. "gotta head home", with a sigh said Steve. "you're kiddin'!", said Santa. "NO WAY i'll leave!" "Being Santa was great, but this is the best. you couldn't pull me back north with 1000 lb. test!" Steve pondered, then said with a voice kind and caring, "Don't you remember it's Christmas - the season for sharing?" "other folks love hanging these hawgs just like you. go and give gifts of Ragetail so they can smile too." "all fisherman need 'em, even the naughty. so head north real quickly, or i'll use karate." Santa knew in his heart what Steve said was true. and he liked red and white, not black and blue. so he hopped on his sleigh and as he flew out of sight, he yelled, "RAGETAIL to all, and to all a lunker fight!"
