Have you experienced your line being tangled around the fish head and under the wires of the A-Rig?
It’ll be a smaller, narrower head, if that makes a difference. Smooth is fast with the big danglies.

I get it now
It works wherever fish eat other fish, which is everywhere there are fish…so…yes.

Best overall baits? For any fish down south
I love an inline spinner or a 2 inch curl tail grub on a 1/16th or 1/8 oz jig head, white is never the wrong color, I also like motor oil or green pumpkin.

Infusing whiskey
I have a couple buddies that do this, and the flavored ones have been iffy, at best. I’m not a big flavored whiskey guy though. The ones they’ve added wood chips or barrel pieces to over time have been much better, but they take longer to see returns. Good luck!

Help deciding on fish finder
That’s great for both of you but I’m not seeing a 93sv with a transducer (or without one for that matter) for $699. The 63sv with the GT54 is or possibly the 93sv Striker? Just saying, buyer beware before you end up with another expense after you open the box.

Help deciding on fish finder
At that price I bet it’s not even the GT54…it’s either the GT20(?) or doesn’t come with the transducer.

Help deciding on fish finder
Also fwiw - make sure you get the transducer with the unit, and that transducer (GT56 on the Garmin) is the right one for the features you are looking to use. There’s a lot of tricky pricing out there for units without having the right transducer included

Tragic Kayak Accident......
I’d like to challenge everyone’s decisions back to being teenage males. I made some terrible decisions as a teen, as I’m sure several (not all) people did. Hindsight has an more extensive view from the height of a high horse. Maybe ease up a little.

Pro fisherman, popular YouTuber Ben Milliken charged with fishing tournament fraud
I’m just waiting for the new 6th Sense Clickbait to come out in Jailbreak (black/white) or Warden (Orange). If you’re gonna lean in, might as well go all the way. Obviously there’s no jail time for what he allegedly did but cmon that’d be funny

Anybody watching college football today?
OSU played well and UT did not…Add some injuries to pile on and BOOM… roasted on national TV. It went about as bad for us as it could have gone. On to basketball…

Why not more canoeists?
@TnRiver46 probably needed the distraction this morning like I do… My only add is Native makes the Ultimate in various sizes. It is truly a hybrid canoe with kayak seat(s). They are great fish from and you can stand in them, with the larger sizes being more stable.

He’s a YouTuber first, tourney fisherman second. This is all publicity.

Protein
I use Optimum Nutrition Gold Standard whey and Vital Proteins Collagen. I add a ton of spinach to my protein shakes. I put the collagen in soups and coffee, but it will also dissolve in cold beverages. I like the chocolate Optimum Nutrition but the vanilla is also good. The taste and texture are just better for me than anything else I’ve found. A big thing with protein shakes is that if you just do powder and water it doesn’t really stop your hunger. It helps to add greens or berries or an orange, just for the fiber. Be careful of the calories if you are trying to lose weight.

A Bee Sting - Just Not How It Normally Goes

Night time bass help
I love a good winter wake bait bite. It looks like you’re in Dallas/Ft Worth so I’m going to guess your water very rarely gets below 40 degrees. The ‘where’ is usually more important than the ‘what’ in winter as the fish will move to food which usually moves to the warmer spots. The first break/drop off from shallow cover is usually a good bet after a warm day. Crawl a wake bait with long pauses over that. You have to pay attention in winter though because the takes are more of a slurp than a blow up. Past that crawl a purple Zoom Ol Monster along any prospective spots.
