  1. Have you seen or tested a KastKing Valiant Eagle II? They are supposed to be the same as the Kestrel except for the frame and half the price.
  2. Bass Pro sells the Squirmin' Jig. You could probably set it up to mimic the Lazy Ike Wiggly Jig. https://www.basspro.com/shop/en/bass-pro-shops-xps-tungsten-squirmin-jig-100081275
  3. Lazy Ike Wiggly Jig
  4. Got it! Thanks!
  5. Maybe where you fish. Not where I fish.
  6. Let me throw this out there. My son and I were fishing for SM and he wanted to try a grass bed for LM. It was windy and we had been fishing for hours. I was relaxing and running the bow mount with the remote from the rear of the boat and my son was casting to the grass. I was dragging/trolling a Stunna off the stern in front of the grass. In a a distance of about 200 yards I caught five pike. I wasn't working the Stunna in any way just using the trolling motor to cause movement.
  7. They are $11 now and will be delivered next week. Unfortunately I didn't order any yesterday. Oh well!
  8. I fish mine like my other jerk baits. Right now it is my favorite jerk bait.
  9. Where are they coming from? The delivery date is March 4th or 5th.
  10. Me neither, never heard of the Bait Monkey. I just attributed my problem to an undiagnosed illness. Now I know what I have but I do not how to treat it. ?
  11. I have a lake I fish for walleye. There is one section of the lake where I catch more crappie while trolling for walleye than I do walleye. In fact I always troll the section knowing that "hopefully" I'll catch some crappie.
  12. I don't want to hijack the thread but I have a few related questions so I hope Blue Raider won't mind. I just began looking at the 360 Imaging and the FFS and I'm trying to get an idea about what is involved and the cost. Is the weight a problem because of the 360 transducer or the Target Lock? How heavy are the 360 and the FFS transducers? Thanks
  13. I'll have to check my coverage. ☺️
  14. Question, is the "bait monkey" syndrome a disease or a personality disorder? ☺️
  15. I do not need anything. I have everything I could possibly need BUT I did go to Dick's today and bought some of those Flash Back Minis and a bunch of other stuff I didn't need and I am expecting two packages of fishing gear, that I don't need, tomorrow. The Monkey is EVIL and I hope he gets off my back........well maybe not. ☺️
  16. Is there a problem with that?
  17. I use the same scale and also have a few in different boats and bags.
  18. Wow! I haven't fished there in many years. Maybe I need to take a ride.
  19. If you have a wiring diagram check it to see if you have a fuse or a breaker protecting your electronics. It could have tripped or blown. Mine has a breaker for the trolling motor and the instruments. The engine is fused.
  20. I agree. My thump is the variable adjustment I use as needed.
  21. I'm no electrician but I have a few GFIs around the house and out buildings. I have read that a GFI trips because the power returning through the outlet is less than the power originally being fed to the outlet indicating a short.
  22. There are a lot of LM up there but you need to know where to look.
  23. I'll try that next time. It may work out better. ? Thanks! Good to know.
  24. I just checked. It is a Kastking Zephyr 6' UL bait caster. I had just looked at the specs and did not realize it was a Kastking. There is a note on the order that this is the Chinese New Year and it won't be shipped for "17 days". There is another note that if they can't ship it within 10 days they will refund my money. ???????
