  1. I had one of them. It may still be around here somewhere. Is this the band you need? I can usually find bands on Amazon.
  2. I use uncooked fresh shrimp. I do not know how available or costly fresh shrimp is in your area. I never used frozen shrimp but it may work. BTW the prices are reasonable around here (SE PA) because they sell a lot of farm-raised shrimp. I match the piece of shrimp to the size hook I'm using. Good luck.
  3. Berkley Stunna. I should have elaborated. I was fishing for SM and using the Stunna over submerged rock piles. It outfished everything else we were using that day. The wind started to kick up real bad and I had to use the outboard rather than the electric to maintain control. My son was casting and I was at the controls paralleling the shore. I left the Stunna drag/troll behind the boat. Moving at 2 or 3 MPH I could not keep the bass and pike off of it. I had not considered it a trolling jerk bait but now I do.
  4. That tail does give it a slightly different look. I don't know if the fish will notice but I did.
  5. Scissors and pliers should take care of all the frog problems. ?
  6. I tired one tonight in a pond. I do not like fishing spinners in this pond because of cover but I wanted to try them. I had a hit on the first cast. A dink on the second cast. A 3.5 on the third cast. I thought I was on a roll. Nothing on the next 5 or 6 casts. It should be great on the river.
  7. I bought a few. They look good but then all Mepps look good. I hope to try mine out on the Susquehanna on Thursday.
  8. I have one of those that was given to me as a gift but I have never fished with it. I think I'll try it next trip.
  9. Just had this same problem yesterday. The battery voltage was 12.4 volts but a load tester showed the battery was bad.

I have some of those somewhere. I remember buying a kit from Cabala's with numerous baits and hardware. They remind me of a flat worm which I use for drop shot.
  11. I remember the story. I do not remember if it was an April Fools prank or a true story.
  12. If I wanted walleye or pickerel I would use the swim baits.
  13. I caught a bat on a fly. We were fishing the West Branch of the Delaware. There was a hatch and there were bats everywhere. One bat found my fly in the air. I was a little apprehensive but I was able to free him and keep on fishing.
  14. I took my wife to Boston a few years ago. We were going to splurge and we booked a pricey hotel in the center of town. I was checking in and they asked me if I needed a parking space. I did and then they told me that would be an another 250 or 300 dollars. After I recovered from my shock we left and found another hotel a few miles away with free parking.
  15. Hang around with me and I'll show you how it's done. I have a small collection of balsa Rapalas with broken bills. Someday I'll pick up some circuit board or another material and try to repair them.

Mepps are quality spinners made with good hardware. Maybe with a cheaper spinner a swivel would be necessary. As MN Fisher said keep it slow.
  17. I wacky rig often. Most of the time with an open hook but I do have and use hooks similar to Berkley fusion weedless wacky. There are some spots that I could not fish without it.
  18. When I fish ponds in similar circumstances, heavy rain, high water, not clear, I concentrate on the newly flooded vegetation near or on shore.
  19. Yep! It bothers me but I don't know if it bothers the fish. ?
  20. I'll have to try that. ☺️
  21. Drop shot?
  22. I wish there were a few on the river. ?
  23. It sounds like fuel starvation. A bad fuel line or the fuel hose interior could be collapsing.
