  1. I have just recently started buying from them. They have most of what I want and the shipping is way faster than my other favorite tackle dealer. ?
  2. I remember the rumors. I have never seen anything to make me believe the liner was leaking. The water is clear and no issues with the fish. Right now swimming is prohibited but it is for safety reasons not pollution but people do swim. They ask everyone to return game fish like bass and pike but to take pan fish and sneakheads. I have eaten sneakhead from Manor and it was good. It tasted very much like walleye.
  3. I have been a member since 1963. I know it well. BTW the chicken bones are still building up. BTW it still stinks depending on how the wind blows.
  4. My son is in Levittown. I'm 15 minutes south.
  5. It was! He was filming it and I hand landed the pike and laid it on the deck. It went ballistic and the next thing I realized my son and the pike were hooked to the same plug.
  6. I always keep side cutters handy. I have had to use them to cut hooks to free a plug after someone got hooked. One time I had to cut a hook on a large plug that was still in the mouth of a very mad a 42" pike and my sons leg.
  7. When I'm fishing northern Quebec or Ontario in July or August it says light enough at 9:30PM to "still be able so see my surroundings." Not so much here in PA. Is it the same for ND? They look about the same latitude.
  8. I doubt it. ☺️ Pennsylvania has a bill in the legislature now to change the state to DST all year long.
  9. I use scent on everything. I have never experienced an occasion where I thought that scent was detrimental. When I first started using scent I tried to compare scented and unscented worms. The fish held onto the scented worms longer. It didn't take long to convince me.
  10. I gotta do something while "I'm sitting on the dock by the bay". ☺️
  11. I'd pick a reel with a sufficient line capacity for the pound test line your using just in case you run into one of those big stripers you never see but that are probably lurking right under your bait. Be prepared!
  12. Wow! $197 at Walmart! Inflation has hit the fishing gear industry hard! ?
  13. You better pray for both of us. ?
  14. I had to do both with my boat but the advantages of having the boat inside outweigh the effort.
  15. Does anyone remember Dan Gapen and "Bobber" Anne? I forget the name of his show. Dan's show concentrated on river fishing in the north country and mostly on small mouth and walleye.
  16. The property is privately owned by family or a family member, correct? Ask or get permission to knock the bank down with a tractor or dozer and make a ramp. Then dump gravel on your new ramp. Problem solved!
  17. SE PA is not NE NY but I have caught fish off a dock down here all year long. Sometimes it gets real slow but it is not impossible.
  18. Sad!! What were they thinking?
  19. That looks good! Maybe I'll try some flat black spray paint on a plopper.
  20. Well I ordered A-Jay's PopMax. Now when it gets here do I put it on the mantel and admire it or do I fish it? ?
  21. Pike too! I catch a lot of toothy creatures right behind the boat.
  22. I do a lot of trolling. The body of water, the depth, the clarity, the lure, etc. dictate how much line I troll. Sometimes I have lures right in the wake and sometimes they are way out there. For me the answer to your question would be "it all depends".
  23. A great little lure. I used them on the Susquehanna for SM and up north for Walleye.
  24. If your console is set up like the War Eagle it can be moved forward some depending on the slack in the steering cable.
