  1. It looks to be about the size of a baseball. Is that right? If that is correct it would not bother me. I would examine it to make sure there are no splits. If there was a split it could be stopped and repaired. I had a trailer bunk come loose and it put a gash in my hull. I drilled holes at the end of the split and used Marine Tex and a small aluminum patch on it. That had to be 10 or 12 years ago and I have had no problems. If the dent is under the floor you could try to remove the floor board and tap it out. Better yet if it is in an area of a storage compartment you may have direct access to the dent from inside. Great!!
  2. I have a 2002 War Eagle with a 2001 40HP Suzuki. When I was looking I looked at both Xpress and War Eagle. Both were top of the line boats and very similar in construction. I got a better deal on the War Eagle and went that route. The Suzuki has been great and I have never had an issue. I run it all year fishing and hunting but it does not get much use in January or February. BTW the Suzuki is very fuel efficient. Much better than any comparable outboard I have owned.
  3. The Rapala Minnow is still one of my favorites but last year it got some competition from the Shadow Rap Shad and the RipStop. The Minnow may get retired this year.
  4. Yesterday I was organizing some soft baits and come across this. I found a few blue rubber worms in a bag of Firetiger PowerBait Swimmin Shad. Everything is blue but I can still make out the shape of the swim bait. ????
  5. Its a different type of fishing with different gear and techniques. Some guys enjoy it full time and others like me enjoy a change of pace. BTW they do taste good!
  6. I fish the tidal Delaware. There are numerous big ships and the expected swells but the most deceiving are the swells from slow moving tug boats. The swells from the tugs seem to be closer together and higher.
  7. How do you get the 10% discount?
  8. Nothing can be simpler than soft plastics especially rigs like the wacky rig and the Ned rig. Rather than having someone try to explain how to use them you would be better off going over to You Tube and watching the many videos posted there. An hour on You Tube will provide a lot of info. Good Luck!
  9. I keep them in the original bags and store them in a small tackle bag. The bag has a front pouch and I keep a small box in there with the jig heads. Everything is together and ready to go. The NED has been so successful for me in the past few years I always grab the "NED bag" no matter what I'm fishing for.
  10. I have been reading about this subject for a few years and I believe there is something to it. Last year I started turning off the electronics when I fish certain areas. I feel I get more bites but have no way to confirm that. I should start keeping notes on what I do and document the results. I wonder how the transducer frequency being used comes into play. Has anyone done any studies regarding frequencies?
  11. First that little winking emoji is meant to suggest humor not start a "wizzing contest". The Fall Fish is part of the chub family. I have caught them and used them for bait while fishing for Pike and Musky. Now that I'm thinking about it I wonder if I could get a bass to eat one. BTW I have never eaten Fall Fish but I have eaten eel. It was a commercial product and I forget if I enjoyed it or not. There are many serious trout fisherman in PA who consider the bass an invasive species. ?
  12. Trash fish? They are native to the areas they currently inhabit in the NE. Our beloved bass are an invasive species in those same areas. ?
  13. They are common in SE PA so I would suspect you would find them in NJ or NY.
  14. I would first examine the switch to make sure it is not damaged and working properly.
  15. I don't know about fallfish but I know they will "feed" on a black and silver crankbait. ?
  16. Neither do I. Many years ago I had a friend who was a respected fisherman. He was well known as a fly fisherman and a saltwater striper fisherman. We worked together and he would invite me on many trips. I learned a lot from him. On one trip we fished the Letort in Carlisle, PA which is one of the finest limestone trout streams in the nation. We were camping on the stream and at night we were joined by a group of fishermen two of whom were also well known fly fishermen and authors. Many of you would readily recognized their names but I won't drag them into this conversation. A conversation started about which fish was the better fighter and brown trout was the group favorite. They turned to my friend who had not offered an opinion and asked him his opinion of the best fighting fish. He replied "pound for pound the carp is the best fighting fresh water fish there is". There was total silence. These guys knew how good my friend was and no one was going to challenge him. BTW carp are great fighters. ?
  17. All I can say is WOW! I had some bad days but none ever came close to yours. I'm glad everything worked out in the end.
  18. How about a 1/8" piece of aluminum diamond plate or find an old highway sign and cut it up. The signs are made out of 1/8" flat aluminum. Or a piece of Lexan or plastic glass.
  19. For me it is one of my confidence baits. I am surprised some guys have not had good luck with the spinnerbait. I fish for many different species especially LM bass and it is a "go to" lure especially when things get slow.
  20. The Lite Trout is basically a "bone" color.
  21. You need a Morning Dawn Whopper Plopper. ? Seriously, I do not have anything in Morning Dawn but to me the color looks real close to a good old reliable purple worm. Right?
  22. Thats how mine usually get retired. I guess you could say they passed on in the line of duty. ?
  23. I looked at the Plano Waterproof StowAway 3700 boxes a few days ago at a local store. They were $17.99. I passed and bought a different 3700 size box. For $10.24 they are a good deal.
  24. A friend just gave my son a complete set of Spoonplugs. They look like they have never been wet. I may have that book and if I do I'll read up on fishing the Spoonplug.
  25. I saw this at a Dicks Warehouse Sale store in Philly a few weeks ago. It was marked down to $7.00. I went home and did some research. It was a Dicks exclusive by Berkley. I went back and purchased one and I have fished it. Its a typical plopper style bait. It runs great and sounds great but no fish yet. BTW it does look more like a rat than a beaver.
