  1. I have and it was delicious. It tasted like walleye.
  2. When I read the original post I thought how could I get by with just 3 lures but this would be a good choice and work for the waters I usually fish. If I had to make one change I'd replace the Shad Rap with a floating rapala.
  3. I have tried a few but I'm using Power Pro on most of my reels right now. I did put Power Pro Maxcuatro on a new swim bait rod. It is thin and strong but it does cut into itself on the spool. Sometimes I think it is too thin for the big baits I'm throwing. Let's say the jury is still out on it.
  4. Omnia has some Mustang vests on sale now.
  5. WOW!!! Impressive ?

My son was catching SM over a shallow rock pile with a Comet a few days ago. It started producing when the NED rig stopped working. Unfortunately its still in the rock pile. ? There are some rock piles and islands in the Thousand Islands I fish regularly. I usually use grubs but when the grub bite cuts off I can usually pick up a few on a Mepps.
  7. I just came back from Champlain. I know it is not the Upper Peninsula but the NED rig produced when nothing else did. BTW colors did make a difference depending on water clarity.
  8. It might not change my fishing but its going to hurt the wallet. I just got back from Lake Champlain. The 800 mile trip up and back cost me $265 in gas for the car. I usually spend less than half that much. In addition eating out was up significantly. Fortunately my 4 stroke Suzuki is great on gas.
  9. I've been fishing them on a NED head but I like your rig. I'll try it next time I'm out.
  10. I started using it a few weeks ago. I have fished it side by side with other scents and without scents and have yet to catch a fish on the any lure treated with Bait Fuel. Yesterday my son and I fished about a 1/2 mile of shoreline. To continue testing Bait Fuel we both used the same colored Senko wacky style. He used Smelly Jelly on his Senko and I used Bait Fuel. He caught 3 fish and had 2 hits that did not hook up. I did not catch a fish or have a hit.
  11. It's a safety thing. Break down or get stranded after dark and it could become an issue. I have lights on all my boats and I have portable / battery powered lights for my canoes or kayak if I operating early in the morning or late at night.
  12. I don't fish them when they are running wild. I like them clear and slow.
  13. Yes! Lots of fish!
  14. My favorite is a pond and then a lake. I do enjoy fishing rivers, especially the Susquehanna and the Delaware but they are not easy to pattern because they change after each big storm.
  15. And get her mad at us? Heck no!!!?
  16. Yes, I agree.
  17. Just SI. But I have a SI on the TM and can rotate it to sweep in front of the boat.
  18. I agree. On new waters I spend a lot of time looking. When I find fish or structure I target the fish or structure. The exception would be small ponds. On small bodies of water I just start picking them apart by targeting areas that I think will hold fish.
  19. Was the rope around the prop used to stall the motor?
  20. I agree with you. I constantly read about how the wind is beneficial but I like no wind and I like dead calm especially when out in the boat. I cannot remember one instance when I could say I caught more fish because I fished a windward shore etc.
  21. Be careful using Craig's list. Last year I was looking for a another boat on Craig's list. Most of the boats I looked at were scams.
  22. Let the fish tell you what is shining. How about using it in addition to the above baits?
