  1. A provisional 1, because he's on stage and perfoming music. Grammy winning, local boys done good:
  2. I don't care for the Terminators, they tend to snap on me. The KVDs were expensive, and didn't last a day. War Eagles, Stanleys, Boo-Yah, and even the Strike King Premier series from DSG all have a place in my tackle box. The VERY best at goiung through weeds is Siebert's Comet.
  3. It's a pretty flashy bait. They work and get bit. I definitely use a trailer hook on them, as often the fish are crashing the blades, not the skirt.
  4. Here is a map from In-Fisherman that shows the spotted bass' range.
  5. You likely found a wintering location. I fish a steam with similar features, though the deep holes on a bend are prime northern pike locations.
  6. I wouldn't a car battery that close to my, well, um....
  7. I don’t need fame. It was nice to meet you, and chat. Ultimately, that’s payoff - meeting members like you. Funny, I met another member in the morning. He’d been out all night.
  8. Yes! Then I might be able to afford mustard for my mustard sandwiches!
  9. That's all it is....just seems. We smoke them on topwater ALL THE TIME up here. And not just in shallow water.

  11. Okuma Guide Select "a" Series Swimbait Rod 7'11" XH. I have this rod, and it will do what you want it to do better than most other $125 options.

They are a total waste of time!
  13. The only way over that is to make amends.
  14. They spent three days and two nights camped out at my house. We got along pretty well - well enough to joke around.
  15. Here's yours, for free:
  16. I don't mind it on light setups, like a spinning rig with 15# braid, 8# leader for finesse stuff, but I try to avoid it on heavier setups. To me, if I need fluoro for clear, rocky water, then I'll use straight fluoro. I do not see the benefit of a leader. In weeds and slop, then straight braid - no need for a leader.
  17. Here's my solution: don't use a leader unless absolutely necessary. I'd much prefer straight braid or mono/fluoro/copoly than use a leader connection.
  18. I might have to hand out suspensions, lol.
  19. I just respooled a spinning rod that had 5 year old Invsx on it. I also respooled a reel that had 4 year old Tatsu. Those reels are in constant use, and really nothing was wrong with the line. They were just getting low on the spool. For mono or copoly, I get a couple of months out of them. Stored inside in a dark place (a drawer) I have line that is years old, no issues. I'll mention that I always pre-treat the spool with KVD L&L.

Michelle's Les Paul has a drop D tuner, and we use that tuning on a few songs. It fits her singing range, makes easier for her play while singing, and just sounds cool, mixed with our bassists 5-string with the low B string.
  21. Hi's is a respected operation. Braid slipping on the arbor is a common pitfall. Glad you worked it out.
