  1. Actually, makes perfect sense... thanks!
  2. I suggest you go back to their site and check carefully, but from what I can see, T = Trigger, S = Spinning, C= Casting. Other manufacturers use those letters as well. Brilliant! wasn't thinking... i think you are correct sir...
  3. Really I have two questions... 1. Regarding action, what does "T" stand for? I have an Extreme 7' Heavy and there is a "T" on the end of the model #. Does this indicate the action? I also have a 6'6" Bionic Blade that ends in S which I am assuming means slow. I just want to make sure the last letter relates to the action on BPS rods. 2. This might get complicated (get your popcorn muddy). This is a serious question looking for a serious answer... please no bashing. I am by no means a fisherman for $$$ (at least not yet). What is the advantage of spending $250+ on a rod? Is there an article on here regarding modulus count and the difference in weight, sensitivity, and cost effectiveness? I was curious if the G Loomis and the other high dollar rods are THAT much greater than say an Extreme or Pro Qualifier? With the extreme running $59 and the Qualifier running $79, I would think it would be a great combination of price and performance? How much better does it get? ARE YOU BUYING THE WARRANTY FOR THE ADDITIONAL $$? Also, with a higher modulus count doesn't it get more brittle? What is a happy medium? Say IM8 or HM60? Both of these are pretty light and sensitive and so far IM8 is pretty durable. Again, I am just looking to gain some knowledge. I completely agree that all rods are NOT created equal and I would never compare an Ugly Stick to a G Loomis!! I would just like to know where price and performance can meet in harmony! Thanks for any guidance
  4. I'm not too picky with hard baits... Plastics must be Charlie's... confidence thing I guess... Hooks must be Gamakatsu (or Owner, but I rarely spend the extra$$) I think I complicate the color thing too much sometimes...
  5. great, thanks Tin.... I can't get that song out of my head SLAM! dup du dup, dup du dup, let the boys be boys.....
  6. I am very pleased with the Accurist... they are on sale at Cabelas for $60.... http://www.tackletour.com/reviewquantaccurist2.html
  7. After watching that episode, I knew it would make it to the forums... ;D
  8. Cod liver oil, garlic powder, and salt... add pure petrolium jelly to stick to hard baits... (or add coffee instead of garlic powder ;D)
  9. Is that an actual picture of a LMB wrapped around the lure? just curious, sorry if this is a stupid question.... but it looks good!
  10. Regular offset hook
  11. Go broke... (maybe not the best thing, but it's the first that sticks out.... )

  13. 14. I found it pretty sensitive but I could only get half of my knots to stay... I tried several different knots (even the recommended trilene knot) and nothing was any better. Don't trust it....
  15. My only guess would be because it's still new line. Everytime I spool mono or copo I get backlashes the first 6-8 casts... If that doesn't help, not sure... :-?
  16. I use 30lb PowerPro on all of my baitcasters... I have an accurist that handles great with braid...
  17. no worries man! yeah, I didn't know what happened when I saw the lure still stuck to my pants and she was free... I truly can not believe she straightened out the hook!!
  18. Yeah, she's awesome.... Beagle mixed with a Doberman... Saved her as a stray (<1month old). Now she's the most loyal dog I've ever owned... at least she was! : And can you believe it, my wife was watching Animal Cops Detroit last night and they had to rescue a dog with a fish hook sticking out of its nose!! but you're right, at least no one got seriously hurt...
  19. So I'm sitting at my desk getting ready to tie on a different bait. My chug bug is hanging in the air. I turn to find the scissors and all of a sudden I have a fish on?!?!?!?!? Actually the tug was followed by a loud yelp! I hooked a dam treble hook in my dogs nose!! The bail was closed and she kept pulling and pulling.... I opened the bail and let the line loose and grabbed her to help her. She burys her face in my lap and two hooks get stuck in my pants. Now her face is stuck to my leg which she REALLY didn't like. She pulled her head one final time and straightened out the hook!!!! The bleeding stopped fairly quickly and she's ok but my gosh, I felt terrible.... She's still comfortable around me but won't come around my fishing poles anymore... :-[ She used to be my fishing pal
  20. They're done bedding here in Broward... you get peacock in Wellington???? I didn't think they lived up there...???
  21. Indeed!! One of my favorite fish to catch.... I will be moving in a few weeks and will miss them... :'( I have a spot that noone else is allowed to fish in a retirement community. A buddy of mine does audio/visual work for them and they let us bring our jon boat and fish it!! We only get to go 3 or 4 times a year... The water is crystal clear and we litterally catch 50+ peacock bass everytime we go. By the end of the day our thumbs are bleeding... but very well worth it! Biggest so far went 7.5lbs and let me tell you, she was a beauty!! Oh yes, I saw the show and still have it recorded on the TIVO!
  22. ;D that's great.... Maybe it's about time to: A: Get a used computer from Craigslist (for free, I see it all the time) that has USB ports with XP. B: Update the old computer with at least Windows 2000. C: Pull out Mr Glock and do the dam thing.....
