thanks guys! these things fight like monsters! i definately recommend at least one trip down to southern florida if you've never experienced it... i know i am lucky to have these fish around, but on the other hand I've never caught a smallmouth or a striper! I'll be moving to northern florida in about three months, so I will definately miss these guys... but they have stripers and crappie! does anyone know if there are smallmouth in the panhandle area, or is it too warm?

I no longer hang out with gators.... I took my 12ft jon in the everglades when a 14-15 ft gator surfaced beside me They see alot of people at holiday park and they come right up to the boat... needless to say I'm glad "Mr. Johnson" started up on the first pull!!

Fish have been shy lately... Caught two including this guy. (the other was a mudfish... ) Peacock always get my nerves going... woo hoo! although I got a treble hook in my hand up to the barb when he shook! ouch... worth it?

I don't mind catching them on plastics but get really annoyed when a new $8 spinnerbait gets mangled They really seem to like this bait.... I am looking for a managable co-po line that handles well on spinning gear. I would like to use Hybrid Ultra-soft, but I don't want to order online. Is CX comparable? They seem to have good reviews on bps website but if you would like to share your experience, that would be great. thanks, chris
