  1. One word... frog. Try the spro bronzeye. You might have more success with the smaller profile of the junior size since the water is so clear. Fish it on top of the mats and skip it under the overhangs. You might also want to try lipless crankbaits along the edge of the weedline.
  2. I did check out snyder boats. I know some guys who have them, those things are tanks! The only problem is I hear theres like a 2 year waiting list and I don't want to wait that long.
  3. Okay guys in the next couple of months I'm going to be looking into getting a jet boat. The boat is mainly going to be used on the susquehanna river. For those of you that don't know, that river is shallow and filled with massive rocks so I'm going to need something very durable. This boat is going to be used for tournaments so I need to take that into consideration as well. I don't know a whole lot about jet boats (enough to get by) so I'm looking for opinions on make, model, size, hp, etc. I've got a $20,000 budget so try to keep suggestions within that price range. I'm looking for the nicest, fastest, and most durable boat that I can get within that budget. So what do you guys recommend?
  4. Nope I hate them, why don't you send them to me and I'll take care of them for you.
  5. n00b..... : metal rules! Nope Yep
  6. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
  7. Yeah no kidding. I have never seen anyone kill a fish with a single blow to the head.
  8. Sorry if this has been asked 1,000 times already but what kind of music do you guys like. I know every time I go to BPS or Cabelas or any other fishing retailer I always think that they pound country music down your throat. It seems like people have a stereotype that outdoors people are way into country stuff. I'm really into metal, mostly newer thrash, metalcore, and some death metal (lamb of god, shadows fall, all that remains, black dahlia murder, nile etc.) but also some older Metallica stuff and Iron Maiden as well. I also like classic rock (I'm a big Pink Floyd fan) and some neoclassical and intrumental shred guitar stuff as well. So what are you guys into.
  9. Wacky rig a 3" watermelon red flake senko. They're dink magnets.
  10. No. Anyone every here of saliminila?
  11. When I was watching the Champions Choice elite series event I saw Dean Rojas fishing with a Spro Bronzeye popper frog. Are these available because I haven't seen them at BPS or on the internet anywhere yet and I'd like to buy some if/when they are available.
  12. I can easily catch 40 bass a day on 5" senkos at one of the lakes I occasionally fish. Usually 35 of those 40 are only a few inches bigger than the lure. That lake is a dink factory and even the bigger senkos will catch 'em like crazy.
  13. Congrats and thank you for your service!
  14. It does work for fluoro too. I always soak my fluoro in a little bit of hot water before I put it on.
  15. It is much more of a moral thing than the 8 ounce penalty... Couldn't of said it better myself.
  16. My stanley ribbits always end up rolling but like fishinfiend said, I still catch fish with 'em and if it ain't broke, don't fix it.
  17. A pflueger president spinning reel and an all star ultralight rod. The fish was 8lbs 1 oz.
  18. I love my Quantums. Like some others said my only complaint is the weight issue.
  19. X2 for the BPS spinnerbait binder
  20. I twas fifteen when I learned ta tie ta bimini twit.
  21. Thank for the info guys, I'll definitely break out my black ribbits and see if I can't bring in a few hawgs.
  22. I'm going night fishing tonight at a very weedy lake where I usually do well on hollow-body frogs during the day. Do you guys use frogs at night as well. I'm a little bit worried that I'm going to get a lot of blow ups but not a lot of hookups. Can bass see well enough at night to bust through the grass and find my frog?
