  1. They say not, but Universities make a crap-ton of money on books the first, second, and third time around. They sell you a book for 100 bucks and only give you 15 for it when you sell it back because they aren't using that brand new edition next semester. Most of the time this is a lie. They turn around and sell your same book for 85 used the next semseter and only give that poor sap 5 for it come sell back time. The same cycle gets repeated until a new edition actually comes out (which usually only has an extra chapter at most). College seems one of the worst scams out there at times. They take advantage of students any way they can.
  2. Hows it going? Welcome to Bass Resource. I am on Yatesville almost every weekend. Its good to have another local on the board.
  3. How much JDM tackle will come from this? You going to get those new Revo's you been posting? Congrats.
  4. I agree. I love my Powell's.
  5. It just seems like waaaay too much money for a BPS reel. BPS is all about having decent gear at awesome prices (when on sale). I think there are infinite better choices out there for this kind of coin.
  6. Ricky, what do you mean, if? We are going! Pinky, those weights are amazing!!! I NEED a Carrot Stix!
  7. I have no idea really. I temporarily lost one of the pins in a Bass Pro Shops round Pro Qualifier reel for a couple of days once. It didn't cast just right afterward but it could have been because the brakes weren't balanced and not because of the missing pin. Maybe you can take them off, put them somewhere safe and go an outing without them. If it makes any difference you can put them back on.
  8. I like that a lot too.
  9. That sounds terrible. At least you won't have to deal with him for a while.
  10. That is terrible. Poor woman. :-[
  11. Man that sucks. I guess they are spawning hardcore right now. I didn't get to fish at all this weekend and from the sounds of it, I didn't really miss much. Are you guys going to go back to Cedar any time soon?
  12. I have had mine for about the same amount of time and I haven't had any problems with the cork. I would try to contact Powell about this.

    Thanks for the tip, Senko.
  14. Thats how my Erie trip was last year. Five pound smallmouth right off the bat. No bass the rest of the week that would match it. Sure was fun though.
  15. I saw this a couple days ago. Makes you wonder what people have done to my food. I always try to be as nice as I can to the people who prepare and serve my food.
  16. I am thinking about getting a 7' Medium to Crankbait fish with.
  17. Wow. You guys are killing them right now!!! The new pictures are awesome!
  18. That sounds like the lakes here too. I know where they are but I cannot seem to put a stringer together during the day at all. I may make it down there before then. I got a couple tournaments on Yatesville soon that will keep me pretty busy. Have you ever fished Cedar Creek? Apparently its supposed to be doing really well right now. I know of a seven and an eight pounder that has been caught out of it this year.
  19. Powell 7' Medium. Awesome little rod.

I have caught a ton of bass on the various Zara's but I got a Sammy this winter and I cannot wait to start throwing this bait. As soon as the top water bite really turns on I will give it a go. It does walk quite nicely but I have only thrown it a couple times to test its action so I haven't tried it at higher speeds.
