  1. ;D Thank you roadwarrior
  2. I have never had that problem because the ponds I fish are pretty small, that's a tough one though :-?
  3. I need some suggestions on which soft plastic bait I should use. I need to be able to find this bait at bass pro, going for quanity with it, and pretty durable. I will be texas rigging it with a 1/8 bullet weight, and fishing ponds with it in the spring. Thanks everyone, any suggestions would be great
  4. What baits and techniques have you been fishing?
  5. Wake a spinnerbait Or any kind of t-rigged soft plastic
  6. My buddy does mostly pond fishing and he fished the bomber fat free fry almost exclusively for his crankbait fishing and absolutely slayed them!!!!!!!! ;D I got a few for this year and I highly recommend them to you for a shallow crankbait.
  7. Those are sweet! 8-)
  8. Do any of you guys flip and pitch in early spring? What baits do you use?
  9. Sweet golf course pond fish!
  10. It's a bummer the G-Man didn't qualify. It's Iaconelli's year again 8-)
  11. Trig may be right, those are unusual markings though.
  12. Just texas-rig them like your other plastics. I'm not a fan of them though. The appendages stick together and they tear easy like all the other GYCB, and they're expensive. Just my opinion though.
  13. Aren't those sweet! 8-)
  14. ;D ;D ;D Nice Fish! 8-)
  15. This is my last question guys ;D any recommendations? 5" Senkos, 10" Powerworms, Cavitron Buzzbait. Thank you, i'll consider some of these
  16. Don't use a worm with very much action, and fish it very slow.
  17. This is my last question guys ;D any recommendations?
  18. I use G-Lock hooks exclusivley. I do this because I rig all my soft plastics texposed and for me the hook point is perfectly parellel to the bait when I do it. Just my preference from confidence 8-)
  19. When you fish a suspended jerkbait in spring, what is the outcome for you? Do you catch more quality or quanity? Or both?
  20. And that's a great reason
  21. but change the hooks Remember, a crankbait won't always consistently catch you quality fish
  22. Spinning rods are prefered because it's a rather light rig. It's also a finesse technique which are often worked on spinning rods. I'm with you, I rather fish it on a baitcasting outfit but I do use a spinning rod. There's just something about it that makes it feel better. A medium to medium/heavy will do with 6-10 lb. line. This technique can be great in waters where the bass see all kinds of lures and has been great for me for smallmouths and in ponds for largemouths.
  23. Wow Now that's a worm! ;D
  24. Agree 100%, they'd make a great starter jig. I don't have smallmouth in majority of the lakes I fish, but theres no worries, these jigs catch largemouths just as well. I work them as I would any other jig. By the way, what sizes in ounces did you get? Oh, and great color choices . I got all 1/4 to start with because i'm a little shakey with the heavier jigs.
