  1. What, is Dozer in the video? This is my close second favorite right behind the old Bass Pro and Roland Martin double blade models.
  2. I get this stuff all the time at work when we order special ground shafting. Maybe buy a roll and make your own. Cut to the exact size you need and choose the color you want. Much cheaper. Sell whats left to your friends. I like the flared end on the ones you bought though. http://www.uline.com/BL_3753/Protective-Netting
  3. I've used these with pretty good luck. Seem to have better tail action than the Skinny Dipper. Cast a mile. JMO http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Product_10151_-1_10001_98299_100007000_100000000_100007000_100-7-0

Conventional wisdom is that when you think of a lizard, you think Carolina Rig. The lizard may be the ultimate c-rig bait, but don't limit yourself to that. Throw it anywhere you would throw a worm or any other soft plastic. It excels in the spring on spawning flats and in shallow grass. Might be just the thing the fish haven't seen to entice an extra bite or 2. My favorite is the Rage Lizard as it is the only lizard I have used where the legs actually move on the retrieve and make significant commotion.
  5. I'm with Jacob on this. Big- Rage Lobster. Medium- Rage Craw along with Chigger Craw. Small- Rage Chunk or Baby Rage Craw along with Double Tail Grubs (Underlooked Trailer.)
  6. on a recent BassPros episode, they said that the spot can be fished slower than other rattlebaits because its slower fall. ...which seems to translate to it sailing pretty badly on me, especially with longer casts. Anyone else? Explain "Sailing" This has been one of my mainstays for years now. And at under $2.00 at BPS, how can you go wrong. Never had much success on "traps". Spots and Redeye Shads now my favorites. Excalibur One Knockers will be used this year for a little different sound.
  7. Looks like it could swallow him head first! WOW.
  8. Several bullfrogs. A seagull. And this big softshell turtle on a big golden roach. Put up a pretty good fight.
  9. I like it better than sexy shad as it's more representative of the forage in the lakes I fish.
  10. A couple weeks- Let's make it three! Anyone that didn't have the pleasure of meeting Big-O last year is in for a huge treat. He is as genuine and down to earth as they come. And did I mention he can flat out catch fish! (he can also shoot the bull with the best of us)
  11. Now we're talking. Counting Ghoti and Mary, and if your dad is from Illinois, that's 8 of us. Come on. Some other state has to try to catch up! KY had 3 on the sign up list last time I checked.
  12. You can thank me by taking me out to where you caught that sow in your Avatar. Just got 4 more bags and some Smokin' Roosters and some Gammy hooks. All for $23.00. Much better than BPS classic.
  13. Simp, you gotta show. Us Illinois boys will outnumber everyone else 2-1. Besides, we all want to check out your new boat!!! See you there!
  14. Try drop-shotting them.
  15. Ends Sat here.
  16. http://dealspl.us/imageview.php?f=101557 Enjoy! I printed out about 50 of them. Good till 12/10
  17. Look on the bright side. You won't have to wait for Mike to load his boat while it is on the launch ramp every morning and then have him try to crowd you off your spot. Less people means less congestion. ;D I'm sure RW can attest to the fact that there is enough room for everyone. Don't know our cabin # yet, but BBQ nightly!
  18. Big-O will help you out. Haven't tried them yet (still some ice up here) but can't wait.
  19. Google "Dick's Printable Coupons" Might have to weed thru some B.S. but it's worth it.
  20. Mine too. They had some Rage Toads and Shads marked at $3.97 and got 20% off that too! http://www.spoofee.com/index.php?section=specials Click on Dick's and plug in your zipcode. Senko's are listed in upper left corner of first page.
  21. Just got back from my local Dick's. Senko's for $5.00 a bag. Plus you can print out a coupon for $10.00 off a $25.00 purchase. 5 bags cost $15.00 + tax. Net price= $3.00 per bag. I will be going back tomorrow and Friday as well.
  22. I'll be there. Just out of curiosity, was there a set # of people that had to be signed up by a certain date? Seems like the plug might have been pulled a bit early. Now this will give people that were sitting on the fence something to think about. However, if you are on the fence, GO!!!! You will have a great time. And you know the fishing will be great. Larry and others have a good point- tickets have been bought and paid for and vacation days have been set aside. There must be more members closer to Pickwick that could have been contacted. 6 are coming from ILL. but 0 from AL., 2 from GA., 3 from KY., and 1 from TN.?
  23. Not certified, but that doesn't stop me. I'm more of a snorkeler though. Did some mid-depth dives in Cancun that were pretty cool.
  24. Another vote for the Slug-Go. It was the only bait I threw for a few years.
  25. JF is right on about the salmonoid vs bass money issue. And this does involve politics. At least it does here in Chicago. I know the former president of Salmon Unlimited and some of the stories he told me were amazing. The charter guys took out politicians and suddenly a more extensive stocking program is established. I could go on and on. Money gets money and the guys who own and operate $150,000-$200,000 boats tend to mingle with the right crowd. I'm guessing bass anglers outnumber Salmon/Trout anglers by 500-1 or more.
