Gotta love those big dark Florida bass. When can I come down and visit?

I fish mostly clear natural lakes and the colors I prefer are green pumpkin, watermelon/red flake and pumpkinseed. Sometimes dressing up with a different color of JJ's Magic will get more bites. In clear water, there are times color can make all the difference. I've had days where nothing but pink would get bit. Just experiment and stay with what you have confidence with. Confidence probably matters more than color most of the time.

And if Mike says he's going to get you a "Team Mook" T-Shirt, don't believe him.

Common thinking is that is for darker water but I always give it a shot, clear or dark. My biggest Musky (48") came on a Bass Pro Tornado spinnerbait with Firetiger skirt bass fishing in a lake you can see 12 feet down.

You're never too old for Disneyworld ;D I've been to Clearwater twice and as George said, traffic is a nightmare. We were there during the Kingfish festival. Nice beaches and hotels though. We hopped on a party boat and caught a mess of groupers and took them to a place called Cooters (which I think was the predecessor to Hooters) and they cooked them up for us. Delicious.
